this occasion. The Inrue veranda was

which the young people thoroughly
enjoyed. On arrival the guests were
served to delicious punch, hy a bevy
of charming school girls, and from Imre
they were ushered in to meet the re

Misses Mary Tarbutton and Mary
Emilia Robison have returned from
NVrightsville, where they have been
teaching. Miss Nina Thorne accom
panied Miss Tarbutton home and was
her guest fora few days before leaving
for her home in North Carolina.
Mrs. Tom Irwin entertained at a
luncheon on last NVednesday morning
in honor of Miss Rosalind NVood of
Savannah. About twenty guests were
invited to meet the guest of honor.
Mrs. Irwin served a delicious salad
course followed hy ices and cake.

minor discussion adjourned until

tho session of the convention it
was a most enjoyable meeting,
well attended and harmony pre
vailed. Adjourned to meet with
the Bethany Baptist church on
Friday before the fifth Lord’s day
in August, 1909.
P. S. At the close of the meet
ing on Sunday the following
brethren were ordained as deacons
of tho New Bethel church, Dennis
