He held his large audience spell-bound during it* delivery. Its composition was elegant and its delivery partook of the fervor of a warm patriot. Col. Pan is a speaker of no ! mean ability and iiis effort on this occasion received the very highest encomiums. It was beautiful, it was sensible, it was elo- ! quent and it fitted the occasion aud the j time.
