Angel Footprint*.
BY M3SY W AVLiXII
livery little kindness,
livery deed of love,
Every little action *
Prompted freer: above—
E'en a cup of water.
In Ilie great name given ;
These are angels’ footprints
Leading up to heaven.
Every little sacrifice
Made tor others’ weal,
Every wounded brother
That wc strive to heal,
Eon a word of kindness
To misfortune given—
All are angels' footprints,
Leading up to Heaven.
Then let angels lead iih
Wheresoe'er they would;
Ever let them tench us
What is for our good :
May they cross onr pathway
When from Heaven they roam.
Let us follow utter
Footprints leading homo.

2iia7 pars age, tho writer of these lines aad aa iavaliJ physician, while visiting the
Island of St. Orris for their health, osjerlenoei and witnessed many surprising and
beneficial effects of the Bum there produced unon many of the invalids who were i liio
ourselves) seeking health ; and, upon inquiry and investigation, oscained a fall history
cf its medicinal virtues. He was delighted and surprised, and after his ewa recovery,
wh. e seen occurred, determined, if possible, to procure the sole right to manufacture
and sell it in the United States.
The result of his labors was a glorious success for himself and suffering humanity,
for the . ' crated PLANTATION 81TT2T.3 was thus made known to the world. PLAN
TATION BITTEBS being aa article of real merit, founded upon new principles, and
relying wholly upon the vegetable world for its medicinal effects, worked a rapid revolu
tion in the history cf medicine, and became as a household word all over the ccvihsod
world. The catalistie S. T.-1860-X. was a talisman of health, and the demand for
the PLANTATION LITTEBS soon far esceeded the abilities of the proprietors to supply.
Notwithstanding the large importation of St. Crrin Bum, made erprecslv for the com
pounding of these Bitters, the quantity was inadequate. It therefore became necessary
that arrangements upon an extensive scale abroad should at onto be- made, and aa agent
was dispatched to St Thomas for that purpose. Be was fortunate in securing and
leasing several plantations en some of the largest and most productive estates on the
bland. Bouses, stills and presses were erected as if by magic, which utterly “ aston
ished the natives.” The services of experienced men and natives of the island were pro
cured, and very seen the proprietors of the PLANTATION LITTLES were in a position
to supply their laboratory with ail the perfectly pure St. Crois Sum needed in manufac
turing tie 02EAT DYSPEPTIC TONIC AND INVIC-OBATOB. The above cut represents
the natives crushing the sugar-cane and otherwise preparing it for the stills and presses,
an antidote to Fever and Ague, Intermittent and Hilarious Fevers, Dyspepsia, and
other kindred diseases, the use of tho PLANTATION BITTLB3 is ’unsurpassed in the
history of tho world. Over five million bottles ar? disposed cf aanurlly. They are
adapted to old and young, male and female. They arc agreeable in taste, and always
j produce en immediate beneficial result.
