We, have lin'd the official vote of Co lumbia county, lint Colquitt received every vote polled, ns we arc informed, except Or e, which wua east for Noroross. \ It 1.1 Mtlll, It k rumored that at the next At mini Convention which assemhlfa at West Point on the 24th inst.. an effort will be made to Isfnblish a State Sunduv School and Ttnipe ranee organ, and that W. O. Whidhy, of the Atlanta Vonutitution will Have editorial charge. These oißHiiir.a -tious, so fruitful of good, and with so many influential advocates mid support ers, should have an organ through which to lie heard, and we hope the rumor may ripen into a reality. No better selection muld be made for K'itor than Mr. Whidby, who has rendered valiinb'cser vice toward the advancement of both nausea: We also learn that the Him n,y South r which haw fieietoforc been the organ of the Temperance < rder, geeer onsly off; rs to surrender its claims as such in favor of a special organ. THE MTATK E1.1.t TION. Wmlneaday last, Georgia elected a Governor and twenty-two State Si>nnti>rs, to hold office four years, alula full House of Representatives, to serve two years. So one doubted an overwhelming Demo cratic victory throngtiont the State, and in thia respect there is no disappoint ment ; but, in view of the influence which the Georgia election was expected to exert over elections in other Stall's, the meagre vote oast last Wednesday is a disgrace to our boasted Democracy, lu many oountiea the vote given, although almost entirely Democratic, was merely a fraction of Uie real strength •f the party, ami our Majority tbongli heavy iu proportion to the vote oast, eonld hit* been easily dhulted, if the Democrats had done their duty. Such indifference in the November election will lose us tbe State.
