To the People ofMoßuMc County:
Having consented to become a candidate
for the Legislature, I deem it altogether
proper that mv fallow citizens, whose suff

know my views upon the questious now ag

First, I am in favor of the prohibitory
law believing it to be essential to the best
interests <>f the people. I am opposed to
the principle of high-lieense, n.s being class
lc rislafbm --tending to the creation of mon
opolies in favor of the rich against the
poor.
Secondly, I am opposed to any legislation
ou the .Stock Law, deeming the present law,
which leaves it to the voters of each coun
ty, sufficient, und should be satisfactory to
all parties. Respectfully,

A few short we eks ago, fatele Robbie, the
subject of this loving tribute, war a baauti-!
fill, bloonfing boy in las mother’s arms.
Tho rosy lue of health beamed iu every
feature; the light of love sparkled in his
char, blue eyes, ami his winning, affection
ate little ways captivated the hearts of all..
He was a sweet and ehoio Tnulv Riving

ease, insidious and incurable, had already
then fastened upon hs little forai; tho
prenteub babe began to fade aiutelroop, ;Uid
day by any we saw it withering away, all
earthly skill unavailable to heal the malady
nnd bring back the ulowing tide pf life.
He was passionutoly fond of his mother,
the nil absorbing love sliowing'ttsblf to the
last. When the little follow lay like a.
crushed flower upon his pillow, too weak to
notice aught else, his sad eyes w ould watch
for her approach, and when she stooped to
care vs him, the little trembling arms would
stretch out so yearningly for her to lake
him. What purer, sweeter feelings Ims
earth to show than tho love betweeh u'babo
ami its mother? Strong ns doath, it lasts
till
more precious than gold, which time, with
all its changes can never weaken nor de

record of little Robbie’s life, which, like a
brief, bright summer day lia passed away
forever. But he is not lost; he is only
gone before. 'I he precious dust so care

from the storms of life, and housed in
Heaven. It was very hard for the stricken

harder still to grasp the truth that God’s

will come a day we trntit when their eyes
