Tbe railroad man slid bebtud tbe prescription
1 case, and the drug store man grew violently
i red in the lace. It was an embarrassing mo
ment for him, bat happily it was quickTy cut
short by the bay, who, in obedienca to a mo
od d ana more positive command ot the cor
pulent lady, snatched the skirt from tbe chair
and walked quickly out into the street with it,
followed by tbe Urge woman. The other lady
qnickly followed her, and whether they en
gaged in a fight or not will perhaps never be
known, as the railroad man was aa badly
frightened as the druggist, and neither of
them dated follow and see the termination of
the qneer transaction.
