Bacon, City Attorney, to whom the petition of J. R. Danforth wa referred, recom mend that said Danforth he relieved of city tax es up to the year 1*73. On motion, the recoin - j mendatlon was adopted. Committee on Street Encroachments report ed favorably on the petition of D. J. Baer for an encroachment of ten feet in front of his lot on Troup street, in front of lot 1, block 83. On motion, the report was adopted. Committee on street Encroachments made the following repor* on tho petition of Felix Corpnt for un encroachment of twelve feet in front of his residence on High street, viz: That the Committee recommend that the petition be granted, provided the adjoining property hold era place their fences on a line with life. On motion, the report was adopted. Committee on Street encroachments report ed favorably on the petition of A A Menard, for an encroachment of two feet on Alley run ning from Third to fourth Street, adjoining the property of C. E. Menard. On motion the re port was adopted. Committee on Street encroachments recom mended that the Trustees of the Presbyte iau Church be allowed to encroach twelve feet on First Street along the whole lino of their Church lot. On motion the recommendation wan adopted. Committee on Street encroachments report ®d favorably on the petition of M. Passed The following ordinances were read the first time, the rules suspended, read the secoud time and passed : Be it ordained by the Mayor and Council of the city of Macou und it is hereby ordained by the authority of the same, That the ordinance liccnseiug street drummers, so far as the amount charged, is hereby repealed ; it is further or dained that the license shall be SSOO per an num; that each drummer shall out a license in his ow n name and wear a badge in front of his hat with the words, Street Druminer. Any person taking out a license and not complying with this ordinance, for the first offence shall be fined *SO, for the second offence shall forfeit license; all laws or ordinances militating aguinnt this ordinance is hereby repealed. Be it ordained by the Mayor und Council of the city of Macon and it is hereby ordained by the authority of the same, That all persons ex ercising the vocation of Bill-Poster, will he required to take out a license for the same; said license to be $25 pci annum ; all laws or ordinances militating against this i hereby re pealed.
