the defendant, saying there was no plea filed,

at his own risk, that if there was a plea filed,

who were killed or died in this State.
THE MONUMENT TO COST $50,000.
The Comer Stone it is proposed eliall be laid on
tho 12tli of October—tho anniversary of tho death
of Genoral Lee.
For every Five Dollars subscribed, there will bo
given a certificate of Life Membership to the Monu
mental Association. This certificate will entitle the
owner thereof to an equal interest in the following
property, to be distributed as soon as requisite
number of shares are sold, to-wit
