DAY DISPATCHES.
Salt Lane, October 30 —The prisoners are
quartered comfortably. Elder Geo. O. Seam
inon arrived this morning from San Francisco,
and preached this afternoon in the large tab
ernacle to an andience, numbering at least ten
thousand. He counseled bis bearers to abstain
from any act of violenoe and sntifeit to tbo law.
God would protect them and deliver them from
their persecutors. The crusade against them,
he said, would only stregthen them and glorify
them in tho end. Tneir church could not be
overturned. Tbeir faith was the inspiration of
the Divine Spirit and would endure forever.
Elder Pratt was not so conservative. Ho did
not want any whining Judge to say to him, as
he did to Hawkins, “I am sorry for yon.” Ho
wanted no sympathy from any Federal official.
