The Jnstice— “Is the prisoner a re

Negro -.-‘Tin his brother, and 1

he’s older dan me, an have a wife an
his wife is sick. I ain’t married, and
I am willin to go on the gang in his

The Justice—“But I cannot allow
an innocent man to r.nfifor for a guil

Negro—‘I can’t swear to that.

Solomons' Bitters are not of the
flashy stylo, depending upon large
advertisiug, bought, puffs and ficti
tious recommendations for a sale to a
gullible public. Their composition is
well known to and approved by many
of onr best physicians, aud the pro
prietors depend on the intrinsic mer
its of their medicine to make it as
popular as it is curative.
They do not pretend to offer a
medicinal preperatioL that will curt*
all the ills that flesh is heir to, but
they do contend that the judicious
use of iliese bitters will greatly alle
viate human suffering, and bring ven
many to a strte of comparative health
who have long be<*n strangers to that
great bleeuiug.
One good j>ennine recommendation
of any professional enra ive, is worth
