GEORGIA HYDRAULIC"CEMENT.
THE following are among the many testimoni
als received in favor of the above Cement. A
fre.fft lot just received and for sale by
GEO. W. LEWiS, No. 1 Warren Block.
Superint-endant’s Office C. R. R.,
Savannah, Ma-. 3, 1853.
Dear Sir : I h?ve recently made a trial of your
Cement, and am happy to say that it proved very
satisfactory. W. M. WADLEY.
Charleston, April 19, 1854.
We, the undersigned, bricklayers and plasterers
of oity, having used the Georgia Hydraulic
Cement, prepared at Kingston. Georgia, are satis
fied that the same is a good article, and recom
mend it as such. SEPTIMUS SANDERS,
J. B. LUCAS,
W. H GIIUVED.
New Custom House,
Charleston, S C. April 12, 1864.
Dear Sir: At your request I have to state that a
bag of Hydraulio Cement sent to me by Messrs
Matiesou A Simons, made by Rev. W. Howard,
rom his Quarry in Georgia, has been by me sub
eeted to my ordinary test. I have found it to set
sapidly under water and make an excellent Hy
draulic mortar. The bag of Cement sent me by
Mr. Simons has been made into mo.it >r and laid up
into brick ma-onry a few days ago. It is now
quite hard, and shows all the indications of a good
Cement. Very respectfully, yourohedient servant,
EDW. B WHITE,
Superintendant and Architect.
Messrs. Maclean A Co.—Gentlemen: I have
examined and tested the Hydraulic Cement you
have in store, from Mr. Howard, Cas? county, Ga.,
and find it compa es favorably with the best New
\"ork Cement. The lightness of color is, 1 think,
rather an advantage than otherwise I cheerfully
recommend this Cement to Engineers, builders and
others, as admirably adapted to bui ding purposes
in damp and wet locations, and all localities in
which Hyraulic Cement is to be used.
Very respectfully, JOHN PHILIPS,
iel Civil and Mechanical Enginocr.

ROGER’S LIVERWORT AND TAR.
FOR the complete cure of Coughs, Colds, Influenza,
Asthma, Bronchitis, Spitting of Blood, and all oth
er Lung Complaints tending to Consumption.
This preparation is getting into use all over our coun
try. The numerous letters we receive from our vari
ous agents, informing us of cures effected in their im
mediate neighborhoods, warrant us in saying it is one
of the best, if not the very best, Cough Medicine now
before the public. It almost invariably relieves, and
not unfrequently cures the very worse cases When all
other Cough preparations have failed, this has relieved
the patient, as Druggists, dealers iu Medicines, and
Physicians can testify. Ask the Agent in your nearest
town, what has been his experience of the effects of
this medicine. If he has been selling it for any length
.£aa- Ue w■!llt*ll.y....
IT IS THE BEST MEDICINE EXTANT.
Below we give a few extracts from letters we have
received lately, regarding the virtues of this medipine.
Dr. S. S. Oslin. of Knoxville, Ga., says : “ I have been
using your Liverwort and Tar very extensively in my
practice for three years past, and it is with pleasure!
state my belief in its superiority over all other articles
with which I am acquainted, for which it is recom
mended.'’
Messrs Fitzgerald & Benners, writing LomWaynes
ville, N. C , says : “ The Liverwort and Tar is becoming
daily more popular iu this Country, and we think just
ly so. All who have triet it speak in commendable
terms of it, and say it is very beneficial in alleviating
the complaints for which it re-'ornmended.”
Our Agent in Pickens District, b. C., Mr. S. R. McFall,
assures us “that he usesit with re.-.t benefit in hisown
family, and recommends it to • . • uc.gubors.” lie gives
an instance of a Nogro woman his vicinity, who had
been suffering with disease o i.gs for years, at
tended with severe Cough, who was relieved by the
Liverwort and Tar.
Such are the good reporta we heir of this Medicine
from all parts of the ! outh. /or a report of the sur
prising cures it has performed in the Western and
Northern and Eastern States, we would invite the suf
ering patient to read the pamphlet w hich accompanies
each bottle. To all, we say. have hope, have hope !
TRY THE'MEDICINE ..'—Be Warned in Season.'.'
And neglect not that Cough which is daily weakening
your constitution, irritating your Throat »;.d_ Lungs,
and inviting on that dread disease. Consumption, when
