fjr't 3 Worms. —As this is the season of the
K. - jrk year when worms aro most formidable
among children, the proprietors of M'Lane’s Ver
mifuge beg leave to call the attention of parents to
its virtues for the expelling of these annoying, and
often fatal enemies of children, it was invented
by a physician of great experience in Virginia,
who, after having used it for several j’oars in his
own practic- 1 , and its success so universal,
was induced at last to offer it to the public as a
o’-, -ap, bit certasn and excellent medicine. It has
since become justly popular throughout the United
States, as themo s t efficient Vermifuge ever known,
and the demand lies been steadily on the increase
since its first introduction to the public.
Purchasers will please be careful to ask for
Dr. MeLaae’s Celebrated Vermifuge, and take none
else. All other Vermifuges, in comparison, aro
worthless Dr. M’Lane’s genuine Vermifuge, also,
his Celebrated Liver Pills, can now be had at all
respectable Drug Stores in the United States and
Canada.

!3®*'T J The condition of the stomach is of
vital importance. No man. woman, or
child can be healthy unless the work of digestion
is regularly, thoroughly, snd vigorously performed.
With three-io .rths of civilized society, this is not
the ease And yet the remedy is within the rea«h
of all. Hoofland's German Bitters, prepared by
Dr. C. M. Ja kson. Philadelphia, will as surely
create si regular and healthy action of the stomach
as oil will lessen the friction of machinery. Let
the victim of dyspepsia or indigestion in any es
its forms, try it, and we guarantee a good appetite,
physical vigor, firm nerves, sound sleep by night,

p «»» —A Warning.—Delay not; harbor
cot in your mind that sentence of fool’s
philosophy, that a disease will get well of itself,or
that you can cure it with certain medicines for a
few dollars. Beware how you tamper with your
general welfare.
Ye wild and vicious youths, why will ye persist
in dosing with the filthy, nauseating compounds
daily proffered, thereby impairing your appetite
and digestion, and destroying you mentally as well
as physically, when you can be cured with a few
doses of pleasant medicines?
Ye rakes of every age and condition, why will
yo suffer and repine and drag out a miserable ex
istence, unfitted for the enjoyment and even ordi
nary pursuits of life? You who are thus annoyed,
and wish to bo restored to health and vigor by a j
treatment at once pleasant and effectual, should j
consult Dr. Morris. His success in chronic dis- !
eases has been greater than that of any other phy
sician of his day. Many who have been for years
afflicted with disease or consequences resuiting
from excess have been restoied to health and vigor
under his really scientific treatment.
Should a personal interview be objectionable,
state your disease in writing—enclose five dollars
—address Dr. W. H. Morris, through the Posts
Office, Nashville, Team, aDd a package of Medi
cines, securely put up, will be sent privately, and
with dispatch, full directions therewith, and no
questions asked.
Persons living at a distance, and afflicted with
Scrofula, Old Ulcers, Tetter Careers, Piles, Fistula
In Ano, Gravel, Strictures,. Glepts, or any disease
{whatever of an aggravateu or malignant character,
can be cured at home by consulting Dr. Morris,
by letter, post paid, enclosing a fee. These Medi
cines, pleasant and safe, cau be sent per mail toany
part of the United States.

HO! YE SONS OF VULCAN, HAVE AT YE.'
J OFFER ED the M. D.'s a chance to swap their
Pills for Porridge, but they have not struck hard
enough to weld a trade as yet; and I now offer to
you one of the best stands for. the Blacksmith and
Wheelwright business in this country. I have
been 17 years here, and always had a “little more
by a great deal,” than I could do. My reason for
wishing to sell is, Old Father Time has hit me so
many licks that I cannot serve Old Master Vulcan
as faithfully as I have done; and I must find
something else to do—podling, or mayhap pettifog
ging. I now offer my Stand to some of you. You
will find no competition, save by a “ Nager” or
two, and they will not be in yeur way, if you wiil
work and net drink “ Bald face.” There are
houses enough to live in and work, and land enough
to make corn to feed “ old Roan ” Now strike

enumerate the many advent tges they possess over
any cotton lands in this State or elsewhere. My *| ,
