der date 6th October, in taut, that the deed
body of a negro man was found nne-.ind-a-half
mils* from Blakely, in thia State, near the
road leading from Blakely to Fort Gains*, aud
that, from mark* on the pody, the man most
have come to hi* death Vy violence at th«
hand* of soma person or person* unknown,
and that the said body was identified as that
of WilliamT. Walker, of Atlanta, Georgia:

previous to the finding of the dead body; that
some time durtng the mid Friday night, some
person or persons to the said Fryer unknown,

following him [the said Walker] for several
days, and that they now came up with hint.”

tives of the United Btstee of America to Congress as
sembled, That the city of Washington be, and hereby
la, anthorixed to issue, by vote of Its councils, regis
tered or coupon bonds to denominations of fifty dol
lars, one hundred dollars, five hundred dollars, and
one thousand dollars, payable In ten years from the
date of tasue, bearing Interest et the race of six per
centum per annum, payable ee ml-annually—principal
and Interest payable to lawful nioney of the United
States. Bald bonds shall be signed by the mayor and
countersigned by tub register of the city, end shall be
payable at aatk place or places aa may by them ba
deemed expedient, and may be Issued and disposed of
tests assess* suffirl int to pay sad discharge the pre
sent floating debt of the city, not, however, to exceed
