Notice To The Public!
We have recently added to our line of bug
gies and wagons one of the most complete Har
ness Making and Repairing Outfits in this section.
Mr. T. M. Hopper is associated with us, and
our place will be in the Buggy Store of Griner
Sons Company’s business on Central-ave.
In the future you will not have to wait for
your work, as we have just received a big ship
ment of Leather and necessary repair parts.
We are going to make a specialty of making
fine harness. We have samples on exhibition
and would be glad for you to call around and
give specifications for one nice set of harness.
We still have a big lot of buggies and wag
ons that you can buy on timeif you desire them.

Cotton’s Condition.
Memphis, Tenn,, June 16.
The commercial-Appeal to-morrow
will publish the following review
of cotton crop conditions for the
last week:
Excessive rains fell during the
week in Georgia and the two Car
olinas. Klsewhere the rainfall was
highly beneficial to cotton and will
contribute greatly to the plant’s
growth. Warm weather set in at
the close of the week fol'owing un
seasonably low temperatures east
of the Mississippi river for sever
al days, This made the outlook
more nopeful and the week asa
whole was a favorable one,
Widely scattered local showers
in Oklahoma and Arkansas were
of very great benefit in those states
and the late planted cotton is be
ginning to come up, but there are
still some fields that have not
sprouted,
Conditions in Texas are uniform
ly good, no complaiLts being re
ceived. The cotton is not well de
veloped as last year, but is now
growing rapidly and the state of
cultivation is excellent.
Cultivation is generally well ad
vanced save in the Atlantic states,
where owing to too much raina
a few fields are grassy. As a rule
good stands have obtained and the
plant is begining to look more
vigorous than heretofore.. It is
still small, howeve:, as growth
has been slow. Warmer weather
and showers are needed in all cen
tral and Western states to stimu
iate the plant, !
