' An Unique Insanity Test
Atlanta, July 29.--An unique
insanity test was applied by Re
corder Nash R. Broyles in his
court this morning when Eugene
'Gordon Young, of Columbia, S.
C., was presented for examina
tion. The young man had been
arrested for creating a disturb
‘ance in a meeting of the Gideons.
~ “You are from South Carolina?”’
inquired Judge Broyles. ;
~ *I am,”’ responded the prison
er.
~ ““What, sir, do you think of
Governor Cole L. Blease?’ was
}the recorder’s next question.
“He is the noblest and most
honorable South Carolinian who
has graced public office in that
state since the days of Wade
Hampton,”’ responded Young.
Then the recorder leaned over
his desk ;and wrote, and this is
what he wrote:
‘“Eugene - Gordon Young. In
sane. Hold at police station and
telegraph his family.”
