You can form a habit of moving the

“Devil in Our Midst”
Mtirs Up Atlanta
Atlanta, Oct. 23.—‘‘The Devil
in Our Midst’’ is the title of a
sensational bulletin that is being
circulated on the streets of Atlan
ta in protest against the political
activities of the Men and Relig
jon Forward Movement.
The Men and Religion bulletins
were entitled ‘‘God in Qur Midst"’
and the title of the counter-at
tacks was a daring come-back,
in the form of an argument to
show that the method adopted by
the Men and Religion leaders
were not Christian and were cal
culated to do more harm than
good in the community where
they were practiced.
“The Devil in Our Midst”’ was
‘not an attack on religion, but
purely and solely an attack on the
activities of the leaders of the
movement in Atlanta’s munici
pal and political affairs. ;

Report of Second Meet
ing of Woman's
Club
The Woman’s Club held its
regular meeting Wednesday, Oct.
16th. Despite the fact that the
weather was ideal and the pro
gram for the afternoon interest
ing, the attendance was small.
It was the regret of all present
that therew ere not more on hand
to enjoy the excellent papers, all
on live questiong pt_‘ the _(Tay.
Mrs. Lon Dickey discussed
““Woman’s Influence on Legisla
tion;’’ Mrs. McCarty, ‘‘Child La
bor in Georgia;’’ and Mrs. Tom
Griffn, ‘‘Compulsory Education”’
Mrs. Seanor talked interestingly
on current events.
Mrs. Wall kindly offered to
hold the club’s nucleus of a libra-li
ry in her home, and to give one
afternoon of each week when
the ladies could return and secure
‘books. But it was almost the
unanimous wish of members
present to place the beok case in
the Knight Templar Asylum, it
being more convenient for the
ladies to get the books at the
regular meetings of the club.
Mrs. W. O. Wooten was elect
ed as a member 'of the club, and
other names were presented t o
the executive board for member
ship. They will be voted on by
the club at the next meeting.
It was voted to allow our dele
gate to the State Federation to
pledge ten dollars to the Tallulah
Falls Schoal, and five dollars to
any other worthy cause she wish
ed to help.
The Club adjourned to meet
Nov. 6th.

K-r-i-t cars have already conquered in many
sections. They have never yet failed in
profit to the dealer, and satisfaction to
the buyer. o
Increased production now enables us to
bring them to you.
Here, therefore, is the opportunity for dealer
and buyer alike—a car of medium price
that offers such value and service that it
has made a clean sweep.
One of the explanations of K-r-i-t value is—
that all the essential parts are made within
the K-r-i-t organization ; the money is put
into the car itself and not in useless
equipment.
Dealers who know the K-r-i-t, know that the
best part of the K-ri-t profit lies in its
character—which makes it a successful
car next year as well as this year because
the K-rit reputation rolls up the sales.
Moreover they know that K-r-i-t service
means that the K-r-i-t Motor Car Company
stands back of every car—that a written
guarantee for a year goes with each car.
The dealer knows also that when he is offer
ing the K-+t he is offering his client a

Fashionable Churches
Drag on Christianity
Washington, Oct. 31.—The de-|
claration that the]‘‘wealthy down
town’’ churches and the ‘‘country
churches’”” were demonstrating
their failure to advance Cristian
ity, made before the Baltimore
synod of the Presbyterian church,
created a mild sensation, among
the attending clergymen and del
egates here today. Rev. Nor
‘man Thomas, of New York, last
night, charged that the work of
the fashionable city churches was
being done by hired assistants
who were in the profession ‘‘to
get out of it all they could for
themselves.”” Rev. Warren H.
Wilson, of Brooklyn. said the
country churches also, were
‘“‘weakenin,”” and that their
places were being taken by ‘‘new
fangled’’ denominations or relig
jous sects which had nothing in
them but emotion.

If you understand the technical side of an
automobile, bear in mind that the K-r-i-t

That means conservation of power, getting
as near as possible 100-per cent efficiency.
And speaking of power, don’t forget that
while the K-r-1-t is medium in price, it is
full powered, staunch and husky, equal
to any work. 5
