Mac.ii, Feb 17, 1847. ltr SUPERIOR COTTON C*NS. fTHR subscriber would inform the planters of Georgia that he 1 hits removed his Cotton aiu Factory to Bibb county, 3 [ miles li-otn Maeon, on the road leading from Macon to (Jordon, wlkre he intends to manufacture Cotton Gins ofu quality stipe iorto an> he ha* v. r before made, if possible. In the coiiMrm tioiiof hi* Gins, he will particularly guard against the possibility of taking tire from the Giii. And here he would remark, that it is imp< -*il>h- fora Gin to tak fire from the boxes without the gross *-t negh ft on the pari t.t those who have the management of them. Gins that get bimit, in nine hundred and nine*} nine times out of# thousand take fire from a different cause than the box, which the sub-nib. r will coinph tely guard against in the Gins he makes in future. His Gina w ill be made of the best materials, and warranted to perform a* well n* any Gins made in the State. He ha* an excellent watt r-power to turn ins machinery,and a good aw-inill right nt hand, which will en ible him to sell Gins oil as good terms axanv otlu r factory in tin State. Ihe estimation in which his Gins arc In Id ‘may be known from the fact of nis having sold more than two thousand during the* la t three years—probably ten to cue* over any other factor) in the State. *1 hi* evident eof the superiority of his Gin*, is accounted for by his being the first to introduce the late improvements- und ket ping tin lead by yearly adding flew ones. His first and second improvement* made the quality of cotton perfect, though tome were rather slow. His third made them sufficiently f st. It then only n mained to make them more durable and convenient, which lias been done he believe* effectually, by several new improvements the present year : leides, he has the exclusive right for the State, with the privilege of other flections, to furnish Reid’s Patent Water Boxes, which are believed to be ten times more durable than any othtr, by those who have madeafan- trial of them ; and are infallibly secure against fire by friction. His fine Gins will gin Mastodon Cotton as well a* any saw gin can. His agents will visit planters generally, and exhibit speci mens of Inflate improvements, and point out their advantages in time for all to engage ami be supplied before the next ginning sea son, or engagements can be mailt Uy letter,directed to him, Clinton, June* county, Georgia. Gins will be delivered at the purchaser’s residence, in anrpartof the State except the Cherokee counties, where they will Deleft nt the depot on the railroad most convenient to the purchaser. It is amply supplied with the very list material* which could be selected, the machinery is all mw, and instructed tn the most approved plans for the manufacture of Cotton Gins. The machinist and work med cm pi ox • and in the e.tabli-dunent, are •kilful and experienced in the business ; and we havi made such im provements in the mechanism ami construction of our Gins that we feel certain, in every case, to furnish a Gin which will perform ad mirably well, and give the pnrcha*t rentire satisfaction. In the way of recommendation, we need only say. that we furnished several hundred of our late improved Gins to i’lant<rs in various parts of tin country during tin st aon. :u and not ore < f tin number has failed to give gen ral satisfaction, both in spt ed and the sample of Cotton.
