It is a perfect Grist Mill in miniature, well adapt ml to ike wants of every Farmer and Planter, and is undoubtedly the cheapest and best Mill ever offered to the public. Persons wishing to purchase the Mill (or any county in the State at Georgia, willaddres* ROHEiIT FINDLAY, Macon, Ga. A perfect Mill for grinding corn will cost only t?J. C ERTIFIC ATES. Tkia is to certify that I havein use on my plantation a Fitzgerald * patent home power with one of the paten Burr Stone Mills, and 1 am satisfied the Mill which can be used with an ordinary gin power, is decidedly the best kind of a Portable Mill that has yet been in tented, and that the patent horse power has many advantages over the ordi nary one used by the planters for Waynesboro', Burke Cos ,Ga.,Ftb 12, 1847. The undesigned have seen the Fitzgerald Patent Portable atiil and horse power,in operation on Mr. J. C. Poythresst piantivonl and we have no doubt they will be generally used by Planters, * lien they become acquainted with their merits. We saw it grinding with two horses, and it made Am meal, nearly as fast as an ordinary run of stones grinding by water power. E. J. C Allm T. T. EL LISTON I W. U. DOLJGLASS. Waynesboro’, Burke Cos., Go., Feb. 12,1*47, I am now using one of he Fitzgerald's Patent Mills, and am satis ied that the Mill is all that it is represented to Ire. Savannah, Dec. 18th, 1946. D. We, the undersigned, have witnessed the operation of the Fitzger ald Wheat and Corn Mills now in use in this city, and we feel c un dent that those Mills cannot fail to m* et the approbation ot the pub lic. GEO. G. FA HIES, Savannah, 1846. DENSI.OW hi WEBSTER. I have one of the above Mills in use at the Eslava Steam Grist Mills, which I will exhibit to any g*ntlcman * ho may wirh to see it in operation, and I can most cheerfully recommend it the public. It will grind corn faster and better than an) other Mill I ever saw with the same power. J. ESLAVA. Mobile, Jan. 6, 1847. ROBERT FINDLAY. Msroy, Nov 13, 1846. 40 SUPERIOR OXIVS. FIAHE subscriber would inform the planters of Georgia that he ■ has removed his Cotton Gin Factory to Ilibh county, 3.} null a from Macon, on the road leading from Macon to Gordon, where lie intends to manufacture Cotton Gins of a quality supe iorto am he has ever before made, if possible. In the construe non of hi* Gins, he will particularly guard against the possibility of taking Are from the Gin. And here he would remark, that it is impossible for a Gin to tak fire from the boxes without the grossest neglect on the part of those who have the management of them. Gins that get burnt, in nine huudrt and and ninety-nine times out of a thousand take fin- from a different cause than the box, which the subscriber will coinpl* trly guard against in the Gins he makes in future. His Gins w ill be madeofthe best materials, and warranted to perforin as well as any Gins made in the Slate. He has an excellent water-power to torn his machinery, and a good saw-mill right nt hand, whieh will enable him to sell Gins on as good terms as any other factory in tin State. March 3, 1847. 3tf O W. MASSEY. GRISWOLD'S IMPROVED COTTON GINS. THE subscriber will continue the manufacture of Gins on his usual extensive scale, and embraces this opportunity to thunk ms numerous customers for their l ibcral patronage heretofore. The j estimation in which his Gins arc held ‘may be known from the fact of his having sold more than two thousand during the last three years—probably ten to one over any other factory in the State. This evidence of the superiority of his Gins, is accounted for by his being the first to introduce the late improvements, and keeping the lead by yearly adding new ones. His first and second improvements made the quality of cotton perfect, though some were rather slow. His third made them sufficiently f*st. It then only remained to make them more durable and convenient, which has been done he believes effectually, by several new improvements the present year: besides, he has the exclusive right for the State, with the pris i lege of other sections, to furnish Reid’s Patent Water Boxes, which are believed to be ten times more durable than any other, by those who have madeafair trial of them ; and are infallibly secure against fire by friction. His fine Gins will gin Mastodon Cotton as well as any saw gin can. His agents will visit planters generally, and exhibit speci mens of his late improvements, aud point out their advantages in time for all to engage and In* supplied before the next ginning sea son, or engagements can be made Uy letter, directed to him, Clinton, Jones county, Georgia. Gins will be delivered at the purchaser's residence, in any part of the State except the Cherokee counties, where they will be left at the deyot on the railroad most convenient to the pure baser. All warranted to perform well, if used according to the directions sent with each. SAMUEL GIUSWOLD. March 24, 1847. 6 LATEST IMU’ROVENIENT IN COTTON |.\B. respectfully inform our friends, and the Planters generally, v ▼ of Alabama and Georgia, that the GIHAKD COT ION GIN MANUFACTORY is in full operation.
