March of Improvement.
IN the age ol progressive knowledge, many thingr
heretofore dark and obscure have become clear and
practical—not only in relation to the arts andsciencrs
but in every departm-nt of human industry. In n<
branch, perhaps, has the march of improvement beet,
much greater than in the healing art, in producing
safer and more efficient remedies titan hereiotur.
known. Nothing is so effectual or so often needed a;
the Vermifuge prepared by Dr. Little, to cure children
ol worms; besides being always safe and sure, it will -
restore feeble or puny children to health again if given j
a tew time?-. .Many cases of fever, violent cough or
croup, hurried or difficult breathing, &c. ; originate
from worms, and are consequently cured in a very
short time by the use of this medicine. In Monroe
county, a few days ago, a child was violently attacked
with a cough and fever, and alter several days of leg
uiar physicing its life was despaired of, when Little’s
Vermifuge was grven, which caused the expulsion of a
large quantity of worms, and the child recovered im
mediately.
Families consulting their own interest, will find it
greatly to their advantage to procure the article in dol
lar bottles, and use it as advised for nil the common
ailments of children. Generally speaking, more than
half the cases that occur are from worms, os little as
many may think of it. By those who have tested it,and
many have, the fact is well knowt that Dr. Little’s Ano
dyne Cough Drops and Vermifuge will cure most cases
of children and half grown persons quicker than any
other remedies, adopt what course you may.
The following case, from a very respectable planter
of Houston county, demonstrates an important princi- j
pie. Read it. j
Houston County, Aug., 1C49.
Dr. Little—Dear Bir: Alter having used several 1
Vermifuge medicines, .and even Calomel, without sue- j
cess in relieving our chiiJ of worms, we gave your V er-j
nnluge according todirections, which very soon caused
the expulsion of a large quantity of worms. After that
the child got well immediately. E. EZELL.
THE FRENCH MIXTURE,

er analogous affections, it stands paramount to any
thing to be had. With perlect safety it can be taken or
used by any one, as it does not nauseate or prove in
any wise deleterious. Being modifi and and improved I
from tlie oiiginal French preparation us it is, h.*s ion
years stood the lest in every shade and variety ol cases!
foe which it is to be used. And so from falling in dis- j
use, the sales on the contrary, have materially increas- j
ed. If cases were given in detail, its success would j
vie with the Vermifuge Anodyne Cough Drops, or I
any other medicine prepared and offered to tiie public
by the proprietor.
