ING COUGH AND CONSUMPTION.
Many years of trial, instead of impairing the public
confidence in ibis medicine, has won for it an upprccia
lioa and notoriety by lar exceeding the most sguine
expectation* of its friends. Nothing hut its intrinsic
virtues and the unmistakable benefit conferred on thou
sand* of sufferers, could originate and maintain the rep
utation it enjoys. While many inferior remedies thrust
upon the community, have tailed and been discarded,
this has gained friends bv every trail, conferred bene
fits ou the afflicted they can never forget, and procured
cures too numerous and too remarkable to he forgotten.
While it is a fraud oil the public to pretend that any
one medicine will infallibly cure —still there is abun
dant proof that the Cherry Pectoral does not only a* a
general thing, but almost invariably, cure the maladies
Tor which it is employed.
As time makes these facts wider and better known,
this medicine has become the best reliance of the afflic
ted, from the log cabin of tli. 1 American peasant, to the
palaces of European Kings. Throughout this entire
country, in every State, city, and almost every hamlet
it contains, Cherry Pectoral is known as the best reme
dy extant for diseaacsof the Throat and Lungs, and in
many foreign countries, it is corning to be extensively
used by their most intelligent Physicians. In Great
Britain, France and Germany, where the medical sci
ences hare reached their highest perfection, Cherry
Pectoral is introduced, and iu constant use iu the Ar
mies, Hospitals, Alms Houses, Public Institutions, and
in domestic practice, as the surest remedy, their attend
ing Physicians can employ for the more dangerous af
fections of the Lungs. Also, in milder coses, and for
children it is safe, pleasant and effectual to cure. In
fact, some of the most flattering testimonials we re
ceive have been from parents who have found if eflica
cious incases particularly incidental to childhood.
The Cherry Pectoral is manufactured by a practical
Chemist, and every ounce of it under his own eye,
with invariable accuracy and care. It is sealed and pro
tected by law from counterfeits, consequently can be
relied on as genuine without adulteration.
We have endeavored here to furnish the community
with a medicine of such intrinsic superiority and worth
as should commend itself to their confidence a remedy
at once safe, speedy and effectual, which this has by re
peated and countless trials proved itself to be; and
trust by great care and preparing it with chemical ac
curacv, of uniform strength to afford Physicians anew
agent on which they can rely for the best results, and
the afflicted with a remedy that will do for them all that
medicine can do.

VM RARE CHANCE for making money by a labor

WOODWORTH PATENT PLANING MILL.
This Mill will plain and tongue and groove 30,000 feet
of lumber per day, aud do it much better than by hand,
as it is capable of being set to plane any width or
thickness, thus making the work of a uniform width or
thickness. It is only necessary to see one of these ma
chines in operation to be convinced of the practicability
of having one attached to every Saw Mill or Manufac
tory of auy kind, where their power is required to car

three horse power to carry it. The groat beauty of
having it attached to any manufactory is, that while the

announce to tlieir patrons, and the Planters generally
throughout the Cotton growing region, that they are
prepared to supply any number of their celebrated PRE
MIUM GINS.
Where these Gines have been once used, it would be
deemed unnecessary tor the Manufacturers to say a
word in their favor,’ as they feel confident the Machines
have been brought to such perfection that their superi
or performance will recommend them in preferrence to
all other Gins now in use. For the satisfaction of those
who have not u-ed these Gins, and are unac qua* ited with
their reputation, the Proprietors need only say that the
Ftrd Premiums have been awarded them for the best
Gin exhibited at the Great State Fair held at Atlanta,
Georgia, also at the Alabama and Georgia Agricultural
and Mechanics’ Fair held at Columbus, and at the An

instances, where I have sent one or two Plows to a
neighborhood, 1 have the most flattering encouragement
as to their performance, with the asssurance that not
less than forty or fifty will be wanted to supply the de

RHEUMATISM CAN BE CURED.
WE NOW HAVE FOft SALE THAT CELEBRATED REMEDY
MORTIMORE’S RHEUMATIC COMPOUND AND
BLOOD PURIFIER—Which has gained such
great popularity where ever introduced, as tlieonlv spe
cific known for Ihe effectual cure of this painful disease.
This remedy has already cured thousands of cases, com
prising every seeming form of this complaint, from the
1 njlaummtj.ry (acute) form to old chronic cases of from ;
ten to twenty aud thirty years standing. Those who 1
had for years resorted to the various celebrated springs,
had tried all the liiuunetits and external applications, j
and been under treatment of some of the ablest physi- I
cians botli in this country and Europe; still after all
these efforts had failed, this compound had cured them. !
Many who have been cripples, either hobbling upon
crutches or con lined to their beds for years, certify to a
complete and permanent cure by the use of this remedy.
w e have nor space, in a newspaper advertisement, to
insert the accumulated evidence in its behalf. This
evidence comes from sources which must inspire confi
dence in every mind. Physicians have resorted to it,
and certify that, even in extreme cases, where consulta
tions had been held, and they had decided that there
were no hopes of recovery, even then, they procured
this medicine and administered it, and it effected a com

MEXICAN MUSTANG LINIMENT!
VS this paper will fall into the hands of many who
do not generally read advertisements in newspa
pers—and especially those relating to medicines, we
deem it a good opportunity, and a duty, to inform such,
and also those who have not already learned the fact
from their own experience and observation, that the
Mexican Mustang Liniment is really, truly and intrin
sically, the best remedy ever before offered to the afflic
ted for Rheumatism, Neuralgia, Stiffness or Soreness of
Joints, Muscles or Tendons. For Cuts, Bruises, Burns,
or Scalds, Sore Nipples, Caked Breasts. Ac., it is of un
rivalled excellence, and we have proved it to be a cer
tain remedy for the Piles. We can, therefore, eonti
dently recommend it, aud advise every reader to trv it,
feeling a certainty that it will give satisfaction by giving
relief.
We take pleasure in recommending the Mexican
Mustang Liniment to all our friends and customers, as
the liest article we have ever used for Sores, Bruises,
Sprains, or Galds in Horses. We have used it exten
sively, and always effectually. Some of our men have
also used it for severe Bruises and Sores, as well as
Rheumatic Pains, and they all sav it acts like magic.—
W e can only say we have entirely abandoned the use
of any other Liniment. * J. M. HEWITT,
Stable Keeper to Hamden’s Express, and for the
American Express Company.
Rheumatism.—This is to certify that my wife was af
flicted with severe chronic Rheumatism. ’She had suf
fered for months with the most excruciating pains—she
had tried Rheumatic Compounds, Reliefs, and almost
every thing recommended for this dreadful disease
None of them relieved her pains in the least. She
used one fifly-cent bottle of Mustang Liniment, and it
cured her entirely. She is now perfectly well, and re
commends all of her friends to use the Mustang Lini
ment. JAMES L. OLIVER
Savannah, Ga., Jan. Ist, 1853.
The Mexican Mustang Liniment has been used in
my family, and on my plantation, for a great variety of
diseases requiring an external application, and lias never
failed to give immediate relief, and effect a permanent
cure. I have cured several cases of Rheumatism that
had resisted the skill of our best physicians. It has cured
Ringworms by a single application—Chilblains in a
lew days—Toothache immediately— Frost bites, Cuts,
Sores and Corns, by a few applications Nervous
Headache cured entirely. In fact, I have used it for
almost everything, and it has always cured. I consider
it the best medicine I have ever used.

paper of the 2 >th December, 1661, says: “ Our persona
experience enables us to recommend ihe Mexican Mus

have felt the good effects upon a sprained ankle, which
received great benefit from one application, and has
been cured by occasionally using it for a week
