Consumption and Spitting Blood.—See the certifi
of Mr. Turner H. Ramsey, for many year* proprie
tor of the Farmers’ Hotel, Frederickburg, Va., and late
of tha City Hotel, Richmond, Va.
Dr. John Mtnge, of City of Richmond, though a regu
lar phrsjcian, and of course opposed to what he called
quack medicines, was obliged to say that its good et
fccta in the case of Mr. Ramsey, were wonderful indeed.
He had been given up by several physicians; had
tried most of the quack medicines, and was on the Tergt
of despair, as well as the grave, when he tried Carter’s
apanish Mixture.
We refer the public to his full and lengthy certificate
around the bottle, stating his cure.

WORTH COUNTY GRAND JURY PRESENTMENTS
SUPERIOR COURT, OCTOBER TERM. 1854.
THE Grand Jurors Sworn, chosen and selected, for
October Term, of Worth Superior Court, respect
fully submit the following presentments.
We find the Books of the Ordinary, and the Clerk of
the Superior, and Inferior Courts, well adapted for the
use of the various offices, and neatly and correctly kept.
We are happy to find the Court House in a state of
rapid completion, and return our thanks to the Inferi
or Court, for their gallant activity in behalf of the inter
est of the County, not only in respect to the early com
pletion of the Court House, but also for making out,
clearing, and putting in traveling order, a sufficient
number of Roads, leading to different parts of tbe Coun
ty. and rendering approach, to our Court House, easy
and accessible. The County of Worth, needs a Jail as
all other Counties do, and we hope our Inferior Court,
will not be behind hand, to furnish a proper building
for the reception of Criminals.
We propose au alteration in the plan of the Court
Room as follows, that the Court Room be changed
from the upper to the lower Story, and that the Inferi
or Court, give directions for the alterations. We regret
that we have not had time to examine, and make up a
list of Children, entitled to the benefits of the Poor
School Fund, but hope that this will be done by our suc
cessors in the early part of the next Term.
Upon looking into the accounts of the Treasurer we
find that he has received the sum of Twenty-six hun
dred and Seventy-eight Dollars. The amount paid
Thomas Arline, Niuety Dollars.
We return our thanks to his Honor, Judge Powers,
for his pi liter.ess and kindness to this Body also, for his
impartiality and ability as a Judicial Officar.
And to our Solicitor General, we tender our sincere
thanks for his kindness and attention to this Body.
We request these our presentments, be published in
the Journal and Messenger, Macon, and the Albany
Patriot.

DOOLY COUNTY GRAND JURY PRESENTMENTS.
IITE the Grand Jury chosen, and sworn, and select
\ V ed, for October Term of the Superior Court of
Dooly County ; beg leave to submit the following gen
eral presentments. In accordance with the provisions
of the law, we have examined the Tax book, and also
made diligent enquiry from other sources, and find
that there are threee hundred and eighty five children,
who are entitled to the benefit of the Poor School fund
We recommend to our Inferior Court, the expedien
cy of a change in the arrangement of our Court House,
by having the court room on the lower floor, the Judges
seat occupying the same end of the house that it now
does, and that the whole lower story be arranged, and
used for a court room, that the Clerks office ot the Su
perior, and Inferior Courts, be removed to the upper
story, and that the Grand and Petit jury rooms be en
larged.
We have made diligent enquiry in regard to the pub
lc roads and bridges; we find the former much neglec
ted in several portions of the County, and recommend
that the proper authorites be more strict in enforcing
the road laws, measuring and posting the same, and
placing finger boards wherever necessary.
We also recommend that there are three bridges par
ticularly needed in the County, one across Cedar Creek,
on the road to Albany, one across Gum Creek, on the
road leading from Vienna to Albany, and one across
Turkey Creek, on the road from Vienna to Montezuma.
We would call the attention of our Inferior Court, to
the change made in our Patrol laws by the last Legisla
ture, and request that the Commissions be appointed as
provided for in tbe act at the earliest meeting of tbe
Court so that its regulations may be speedily and rigid
ly enforced.
From tbe investigation, and enquiries instituted by
us during the term, we have arrived at the conclusion
that crime is on the wane, and the star of sobriety, good
order and good morals is in the ascendent, and we con
gratulate our fellow citizens, on this marked evidence ot
improvement, and hope that future Grand Jurors will
have no reason to dissent from this expression of our
gratification.
In closing our labors we tender our sincere thanks to
Judge Powers, for his courtesy and kindness to our
bodv, and for the ability and impartiality with which
he discharges the onerous duties of his office.
We tender our thanks to the Solicitor General, Col.-
William K. DeGraffenreid for his respectful, and kind
attention in aiding us in our business.
We request the Clerk to have our presentments pub
lished in the Telegraph and Journal and Messenger.
