of the English nobility and gentry. But
one who looks back over the history of

must now see and own that the influence
of the Southern aristocracy wo* an ele
ment of immense value in shaping the
character of our public men and political
life. The existence of many thing* is only

Union. It has been ruled, repressed and
stifled in it* old character and influence

per acre. I also used the Pendleton Compound
and the Etif lish Stonewall. The Logan has proved
as good aa ei ther of t lie others. I am much pleased
with It. The cotton has fruited well and has
retainer! its fruit. Very.little rust is observable
when* the Logan is used and the weight of lint in
.proportion to aeed cotton is remaraoble^ bring
much in excess of what is usual. I found it equal
ly good on corn and potatoes. The Logan is an
excellent fertilizer.and lean honestly recommend
