Flour.—Owing to tho continuance of favorablo
weather, the receipts of Flour from the interior,
though partially diminished, continue targe, and os
it is supposed that nearly if not quite all in pro
gress of shipment has already reached tide water

Sugar.—The market has exhibited increased ac
tivity since our lest report, the sales having amount
ed 10 800 a 000 hhds generally at 5 a 5) cts, though
wo nro advised of one sale of 75 hhds extra prime at
6), a part of which has been re-sold at 0) cents.—
The purchases have been principally for the north
ern markets. Supplies coma in freely, hut tha tran
sactions of the pa>tf*w days have left but a mode
rate stock in first hands. We have heard of no for
thcr sales on plantation, and understand that plan
ter* generally are now holding for higher rates, as
the sever* froe'e noticed in our last, succeeded, as
they havo been, hy mild weather, are hk*]y to pro
