ny citizen or inhabitant of
the United States or the ter
ritories thereof, who (hall,
daring the war in which the
laid United States are at pre
sent engaged, either direct
ly or indireCily carry on a
ny trade, commerce or traf
fic, in any articles whatever,
with any of the dominions,
colonies or deoendencies of
the United Kingdom of G.
Britain and Ireland, or with
j hy person or perl'ons refi
ning within th® fame; and
* >ay citizen or inhabitant as
'•aforesaid, who (hall direct
ly onforlireCtly be pTity to,
or aiding or abetting in car
rying on any such trade,
