HOLLOWAYS OINTMENT.
A MOST MIRACULOUS CURE OF BAD LEGS.
AFTER 43 YEARS’ SUFFERING.
Extract of a letter from Mr. William Galvin , oj 70 St.
Mary's street, Weymouth, dated 15 th May, 1851.
To Professor Hollow at .
ti\r: At theagt of eighteen mv wife (who is now sixty one)
caught a violent cold, which settled in her legs, and ever sincclhnt
time they have been more or less sore, and greatly iuilauu-d.
Her agonies were distracting, and for months together slu* was
deprived entirely of rest and sleep. Every remedy that medical
men advised was tried, but without effect; her health suffered
severely, aud the state of her legs was terrible. I had otten read
your advertisements, and advised her to try your Pills and lini
ment ; ami,as a last resource, after every other remedy had prov
ed useless, she consented to do so. Slie commenced s:x weeks
ago, and strange to relate, is now in good health. Her legs are
painless, without seaiu or scar, and her sleep sound aud undis
turbed. Could you have witnessed the sufferings of my wife
during the last forty three years, and contrast them with her pre
sent enjoyment of health, you would indeed feel delighted in
having been the means of so greatly s/leviating the sufferings of
a fellow creature. (.Signed) \\ h. Galpin.
A PERSON 70 YEARS OF AGE CURED OF A BAD
LEG, OF THIRTY YEARS STANDING.
Copy of a letter from Mr. William Abbs, Builder of Gas
Ovens, of Rushcliffe, near Huddersfield, dated May
31 st, 1851.
To Professor Holt.oway :
Bir : t suffered, for a period of thirty years from a bad leg, the
result of two or three different accidents at Gas Works ; ac com
panied bv scorbutic systems. I had recourse to a variety of
medical advice, without deriving any benefit, and waseven told
that the leg must be amputated, yet, in opposition to that opinion,
your Pills and Ointment have effected a complete cure in so short
a time, that tew who had not witnessed it would credit the fact.
(Signed) William Abbs.
The truth of this statement can he verified by A/r U .*. Eng

Dear Bir: J\l y wile had suffered from Bad Breasts for more than
six months, and during the whole period had the best medica
attendance, but all to no use. Having before healed an awful
wound in my own leg by your unrivalled medicine,l determined
again to use your Pills and Ointment, and therefore gave them a
trialin her case, and fortunate i; w s 1 did so, for in less than a
month a perfect cure was efleeted. and the benefit that various
other branches of my family have derived from ther use is really
astonishing. I now strongly recommend them to all my friends.

The Best Female Medicine. Known
The peculiar maladies to which females are subject, commonly
produce great bodily exhaustion, accompanied by a depressed
and often gloomy state of mind. As the system decline- in
strength, there isa loss of nervous power, and this very mill-rally
impairs the energy ofthe mind aud disturbs the equanimity >f
the temper. Every candid woman who has sutiered from ieniale
complaints will admit this to be the mourntul truth. Now, to
obtain relief, it is only necessary to stop the tendency to deple
tion and debility. This is done by renewing that fountain of
health and strength, the Blood, and no medicine accomplishes
this desirable result so speedily and complete as “Dr. Guvsott’s
Improved Extract of Yellow Dock and Sarsaparilla.”
Ladies of pale complexion and consumptive habits, and such
as are debilitated by those obstructions which females are liable
to, are restored, by the use of a boLle or two, to bloom and to
vigor.

The new chemical preparation, now submitted to the public, is
believed to possess all their virtues, and even more, without be
ing chargeable with their bad effects—neither is this opinion
hastily founded, nor based on limited experience—after a trial
of some years in which this remedy has been placed in the hands
of eminent physicians, and tried indeed under every variety of
circumstance, and in all appropriate cases of disease, it is still
believed to stand unrivalled, not only for its rare u edieinul vir
tues as a preparation of Opium, but for the safety with which it
may be administered.
