I HAVE FOUND A BLESSING.
The Superior of Quinine and Sarsaparilla
The Greatest Discovery of the Age.
DU. I. T. HENDERSON’S Eureka Tonic and |
Ncpcnlhean Pills, a safe, certain, and per- j
inanent antidote against all forms of the poisonous :
effects of Miasmata; effecting speedy and perma- .
“Tient cures of Chits and Fever , and all the different ;
varieties of Fevers, torpid liver, enlargement ot ,
the spleen, dyspeps/a, dropsy, jaundice, and all j
Yinds of constitutional debility and derangement i
of the system, are speedily remedied by these in- i
valuable medicines. These valuable antidotal
remedies were discovered by Dr I T Henderson,
end have been successfully tested by some of the
best physicians in the south, and by thousands o
•other persons.
These medicines are wholly Vegetable, and are
harmless under any circumstances. The principal
ingredients arG entirely new remedies, used by no
other person in any form as a medicine.
In malarial diseases, they act as an antidote
against the poisonous effects of impure air, and |
require go prcced.ng preparation of the system, as
they comprise the Cathartic, Diaphoretic, Sedative
and Tonic principles; thus accomplishing a desid
eratum in the treatment of these diseases, long |
sought for before the discovery of these medicines.
All who have used Quinine, (tl e best remedy
heretofore known for intermittent fever) must say
that it is neither certain nor lasting in its effects
Quinine, in many instances, from febrile excite j
mentand gastralgia, and cephalic disturbances, i
inadmissable. But the Eureka Medicine can b
used under any circumstances or condition of th
system where a tonic, purge, or diaphoretic
leeded with the happiest effects. The tonic mile
ny acts on ihe bowels, carrying off’ the rnuco hi
ious matter collected there ; correcting the actio
of the liver and spleen, and assisting nature to
throw off the impediments to a healthy action of
the body, by natural remedies, calling into action
suspended natural lawd ; thereby removing the
causes and effects of disease through the natural
channels ofthe body.
All that is asked for these wonderful medicines
is a fail trial, which will satisfy all of their unpar
allelled virtues. Their fame is built upon their
own efficacy, and a comparison with all other
remedies is challenged. Physicians are requested i
to use ths Eureka Tonic and Ncphenthean Pills,
as they would any other tonic, with any previous i
preparation of the system they please, and they
will be convinced they are the superior ofQuinine,
and the whole catalogue of tonics used as in tern in
tents.
Their use is admissible at any time, even when
he patient has the highest fever. For sick head
ache and obstructed menstruation, they hare no
equal. For particulars see tonic directions.
Also, Dr I T Henderson’s Eureka Purifying
Cathartic Pills, forcleansing and purifying the con
stitution, and establishing a healthy economy in
all persons iaboring under any form of constitu
tional derangement. .
Also, Dr I T Henderson’s Ouchita Vermifuge,
the greatest blessing ever bestowed upon the in
fanta! world, warranted to expel worms of every
kind, and in every case, where they exist in the
body. —This Vermifuge has proved itself decidedly
superior to any other in use.
Also, Dr I T Henderson’s and Bone Lini
ment, or ileal All. The use of this astonishment
Liniment has been attended with unparalleed
success in all diseases of man or horse. Forthe
horse, it instantly cures Corks, Sratchcß, Chafe
Cuts, Wounds, Spavin, Stifle, Swinney, Sprains
Film of the <*ye, Whirlbone of any joint, and Dis,
emper.
F<y man, it speedily cures Rheumatism, Go
Seroiula, Burns, Scalds, Tetter, and Ringworm
Wen 3, Swellings, Risings, Cuts Sprains, and Bri
ses, Old Ulcers, Scald head, Sore Throat, Saliu
ion, Sore Mouth, Neuralgia, Piles, Ground Itch
&c. A single trial will satisfy any person of its
superiority over any other Liniment.
All of the above Medicines are prepared by Dr I
T Henderson, for Ikard, Tubb, & Cos., Sole Own
ers and Proprietors, Farmerville, La., to whom all
letters must be addressed, post paid.
Agents wanted in every town.

Kr In compliment to Dr I T Henderson, o
Farmerville, we take pleasure in ?recoinnending
to all those who are by any means afflicted with
bodily pains, to go at once and purchase a bottle
or two of his most excellent Eureka Tonic. Eor
the last three or four w'eks, we have been labor
ing under the most excruciating pains, from some
unknown cause, and also have had at the same
time every symptom of dyspepsia. We had re
course to different sorts of medicines, but experi
enced but little relief, until we fell in with Dr
Henderson’s EUREKA, We at once purchased a
bottle, and have used about one half of it accor
ding to diicction, and take great pleasure in sta
ting, that we were at once relieved of the above
disagreeeble complaints. We therefor? bespeak
for it nothing more than a fair trial, to test its vir
tues. which will no doubt give it precedence over
all other tonics now in use.
TESTIMONIALS
Os the Beneficial effects of the use of Dr. 1. T
Henderson’s Eureka Tonic, Ncpcnthean and
Cathartic Pills, and the Nerve and Bone Lini
ment.
Louisville, Kv, July 9, ISSO.
Dr IT Henderson : Sir—l have used the Eureka
Tonic, and your Eureka and Nepcnthcan pills,
in several chronic cases of Intermittent Fever I
found the Eureka pills much slower in their effects
than I anticipated, but the whole of the medicines,
I found much more certain and lasting in their ef
fects, than any that I have heretofore tried, and I
believe the use of them should be continued lon
ger than you recommend in your directions.
I tried the following treatment upon a case o
enlargement of the spleen of six years standing
The disease resisted every other treatment but the
following ; which cured the case perfectly in eight
weeks. 1 gave a wine-glass full of the Eureka
Tonic, morning, noon, and night, with 2 Nepcn
thcan Pills midway between each dose of the Ton
ic. I gave also 2 of the Eureka Cathartic pills
every night, and I believe that the same treatment
will cure any case of enlargement of the spleen
or disease of the liver.
I used the Tonic in a case of Scrofula, and found
it acted astonishingly well, and in conjunction
with the following pill, I firmly believe, will cure
any case of Scrofula.
I. lodide of Iron, 2 oz.
Citrate 0f... .do, I oz.
Carb of Potash 1 oz.
Made into 400 pills—two witli each dose of the
Tonic. I have used up all you seat.
Yours respectfully,

Henderson : —Sir Your Nerve and Bone Lini
ment, I believe is already well known to bo the
best medicineever discovered for all the kinds of
disease it ha® been advertised to cure ; yet, the
following cures of the bite of the rattle snake,
ought to be presented to the world as a tribute of
respect to the inventor, and a warning to heads of
families, never to be without the Liniment.
Iyjr H J rfawkins’ who lives with me, had a chid
bit with a ground rattle snake, which threw the
child into spasms for nearly an hour. Its foot and
ancle were entirely black, when the Nerve and
£one Linimcfit was applied, which immediately
killed the poison, and saved the child. It dropped
off to sleep immediately, and awoke quite well.
M E Miller had a horse hit with a rattlesnake,
which caused the animal to swell very much.
Upon two applications of the liniment it was en
tirely cured I remain, \ ours, &c.,

CONSUMPTION CURED DAILY JY
UR. HASTING'S
COMPOUND SYRUP OF NAPTHA.
The great sensation which was created amongst
he Medical Faculty, and throughout the civilized
world, in the beginning of 1844, by ike announce
, mem*, of Dr Ha?ting’s oiscovery of the medica
properties of Naptha, has settled down into a thor
ough confidence that his Compound Syrup of Nap
tha is a positive speedy cure for consumption, De
j dine, Asthma, and all diseases which involve the
wasting away of the human system by excessive
sweatings, expectorations, and other effects of a
contingent nature Ii is likewise admitted to be
immeasurably superior to nhy other cough medicine
whic h has ever been introduced, as it almost in
stantaneously. relieves huskiness ot the throat, soft
ens the cough, and removes the hacking and the
phlegm. And the activity of its nalure is such
that, the moment it is taken, it pervades the frame
—diffuses a gentle warmth throughout, secures a
free circulation of the blood, and opens every part
of the body, thus giving universal egress tc. the
impurities which all systems engender, and which
aie the true ofigin of nearly all the diseases to
( which the human family is liable.
It is a universal purifier, it attacks the vc •*
‘ of disease by penetrating every fibre of the body
j ar.d expelling all foreign and noxious particles in
I its progress, and no matter of a corrupt or impure
j nature can remain in the system when under its
; influence. “And hence its cures,” as Dr Collis re- j
j marked in his address to the Dublin Royal college. !
: of Physicians. “ are not only sure hut permanent;
for, not satisfied with destroying the disease, it ex- !
pels even the most minute seeds of it altogether j
i from the system.” One Dollar per bottle—or six 1
dottles for $5.
MACNIN'S LUC IN A CORDIAL, OR THE
ELIXIR OF LOVE.
This is the only actual remedy ever discovered
for impotency, General Debility, Nocturnal Einis
r -v.oc.s, and all diseases occasioned by certain secret
j habits; and many ofthe rostrums, recently recom*
mended for the same complaints are worthless im
itations which its unrivalled excellence, fame, and I
have brought into the market. The
medical faculty of Europe and the United States, ;
are unanimous in their recommendations ofthe!
Lucina Cordial, and have not given their sanction
! in a single instance that has been authenticated, to
ant other compound for the same purpose. The
i na’ure of the maladies relieved by the Lucira Cor
dial, are generally such as to leave the publication
of certificates of cures out of the question, or the
proprietor could procure a host ot the most exclu'’
j sive testimony to show that the great reputation
which it enjoys was not accidentally obtained, but
is firmly based upon its positive, and apparently
miraculous virtues. In all directions are to be
found the happy parents of healthy offspring, who
would not have been so, but tor this extraordinary
preparation. And it is equally potent in the many
diseases for which it is recommended. Objection
has been naturally made to the price of the Lucina
Cordial; because the trash that has been thrown
into the market in opposition to it, is sold cheaper;
hut the fact is that the eordial cannot he afforded
for less, and ought to be much dearer, as many of
the ingredients which compose it are among the
costliest things in nature, whereas the others are
made up of cheap drugs worth but little in money,
and less in merit; and it is a fact, that at least one
of the getters up of these same mixtures, make it
a point to add one bottle of the Lucina Cordial to
a given number of gallons of his compound, so as to
-ivo it some little tone and virtue, and thus solace
his conscience.
HIP OUT ANT REMEDY—DR MITCH EDS EYE
SALVE.
*Thc great advantages possessed by this article
over every other, are certainty, safety, convenience
1 economy. All physicians admit that gr&r
lunger is to be apprehended from e y C
when in an inflamed and unjjp^fJj^Tjqat e , j n t| lo
ii .°.f r —"nnjpction j* entirely removed,
as no harm can possibly result from its use ; it be
ing in all cases applied to the external portions of
he eye, thereby avoiding all the inconveniences,
j pain and danger, which necessarily attend the in
troduction ol any pugnant article into the eye. Its
activity in subduing inti imation is so great, that
i hut few cases require the use of more than one bot
tle to effect a perfect cure. One physician remark
ee to us, after having witnessed its effects in sever
al instances, that it was a “perfect fire killer.” All
we ask is that its virtues he thoroughly tested,
and that the direction be strictly followed. Price

CERTIFICATES.
j Dunuan’svillb, Barnwell Di.-t., 8. 0. Jan 25,1850.
; To those that may be afflicted with sore eyes—
I do hereby certify that my wife was afflicted with
sore eyes for some twenty years or more. After
trying a great many remedies which weie recom
mended, and without any relief, in the year 1848,
1 purchased a bottle rff Mitchell’s Eye .Salve, which ;
1 prevailed on her to try. The cure was perfect, !
after throe applications. The bottle, though small, :
has been divided, and sent2o or BO miles; and, in
every instance, a temporary or a permanent cure
has been effected. My wife says that she would
would not he without a bottle lor fifty dollars.
I will also state that about the first of January
I had a hot scale of iron lly into one of my eyes,
which remained there for two days, and could not
be seen or got out. I had a little of the salve put
into my eye, and soon a particle of the scale was
found on the edge of the eye-lid. I was much re
lieved by that application. Next morning my eye
felt better, and the Salve was applied twice, when
another piece of the scale was discovered, as in the
first inslairc, which proved to he the last. By
-next morning, my eye felt much better, and in the
course of two days, perfectly well.
This Salve (although the eye may be much in
flamed) produces no pain, but causes the eye to
discharge water freely for a few minutes, after
which the eye becomes clear, brilliant, and free of
pain. D. DOWLING.

PRYOR’S OINTMENT.
IT not only cures the Piles, but is an cxcellcn
remedy for Burns, Scaidhead, Teter-worms
Fresh Cuts, Risings or old sores of every kind.
CERTIFICATES.
Atlanta, Sept. 25, ISSO. !
This is to certify that I have used Pryor’s Pile
Ointment with success in the treatment of ulcers
of the phagedemic kind. I further state tha f : it is
the best application to Piles that I am acquainted
with. H. WESTMORELAND.
Atlanta, Sept 25, 1850.
Col. Wm. B. Pryor : Dear Sir : From personal
experiance I am compelled to say that your salve
is without a parallel, having effected a cure of an
ulcer of years standing, occasioned by the break
ing of a leg with the circumstances of which you
are well acquainted, though too long for detail.
Respectfully youis&c.,
NAT. MANGUM.
La Grange, Sept 25.
Col. W. B. Pryor : Dear Sir : —I can and do most
cheerfully and sincerely certify to the efficiency o?
your Pile Ointment. Few persons can have a bet
ter right to exoress an opinion concerning the many
different remedies that have been offered to the
public for the cure ofthe malady than I have, be
cause few have been more severely afflicted with
it than 1 have been, and as few, perhaps, have
tried a greater number of remedies for it. My
opinion is that your Pile Oir.tment is the very best
in use ; that it will not only sooth and ameliorate,
but wiil positively cure if properly applied and
persevered in a fair trial. I recommend to all per
sons in reach ol such a remedy the use of your
ointment. Yours, respectfully,
