A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS official com
munication has been
made to the Executive, of the
death of James Jones, late
Kepre tentative cf this Rate, in
the Congrels of the United
States.
And Whereas in and by
an ad to regulate the General
EJediors in this date, and to
appoint the time of the meet
ing of the General A Humbly,
gaffed cn the nth day of Fe
bruary one thoufand feven hun
dred and ninety nine ; it is de
clared, <f That in cafe any per -
lon duly eleded, being in this
fate, and notified thereof, in
manner herein direded, fit ail
not within twenty days, and if
cut of this Rate, within Forty
da>s after fuch notification, teg
nify his acceptance, or (hall
depart tVuo life, tko Covcmor

der a new election to be held in
like manner as herein before
pointed out; — And further , that
all writs of election to fill va
