to be paid out of any monies
in the treafury not otherwife
appropriated (hall be and the
fame is appropriated towards
defraying the expenditure of the
civil lift, including the contin
gent expences of the feveral
departments during the year one

Zane.
BE it enabled by the Senate
and Houfe of Reprefentatives of
the United States of America , in
Congrefs affemhled, That the
Prefident of the United Stares
I be, and he is hereby anthorifed
i and empowered to iftlie letters
j patent, in the name, and under
! the Teal of the United States,
1 thereby granting and convey
ing to Ifaac Zane, his heirs and
affigns, in fee Pimple, three fcc
lions of land, of one fquare mile
| each, within the North-Weftern
Territory of any lands not here
tofore granted or referved, and
to which the Indian title has
been extinguifhed ; in truft, ne
ve rthelefs, in refpeft: to two of
the Paid fedtiens, which fhall
be laft mentioned and deferibed
in the laid letters patent, to and
for the life and benefit of the
children of the Paid Ifaac Zane,
who fhall be living at the time
of his death, and of the heirs of
any child or children dcceafcd,
and their heirs, rHpedfively, to
hold as tenants in common.
Sec. 2. And be it further
enabled. That the Laid Ifaac
Zane, or his attorney in fadf,
fhall, and they arc hereby autho
rized and empowered to locate
the laid three feftionn in one or
more tracts, not to exceed three

An ACT to repeal the Internal
'Paxes.

Houfe cf Reprefentatives of
the United States of America, in
Congrefs affemhled , That from
and after the thirtieth day of
June next, the internal duties on
ft ills and domeftic diftilled fpi
rits, on refined Agars, licenfes
to retailers, fairs at audeion,
carriages for the conveyance of
perfons, and ftamped vellum,
parchment and paper, fhall be
difeontinued, and all acts and
parts of acts relative thereto,
fhall, from and after the faid
thirtieth day cf [one ne;tr, be
repealed : Provided , That for
the recovery and receipt of fuch
duties as fhall have accrued,
and on the day afore laid remain
outftahding, and for the pay
ment of drawbacks or allowan
ces on the exportation of any of
the faid fpirits or fugars legal
ly entitled thereto, and for the
recovery and diftribution of
fines, penalties, and forfei
tures, and rhe re million thereof,
which fhall have been incurred
before and on the faid day, the
provifions of the afore faid acts i
fhall remain in full force and
virtue.
