GEORGIA. By his Excellency JOHN MIL LEDGE, Governor and Com mander in Chief of the Army and Navy of this fate, and i. of the Militia thereof A PROCLAMATION, \ 7| 7 HERE AS by the eighth V V fed;ion of the fecond .article of the conflilution of this it is declared that the go vernor fhall have power to con vene the General Aflembly on extraordinary occafions. And whereas , the Leg* nature of this (late, at their fefllon in November i 302, Rejolved , That in the event of the ratification of the late treaty between the United States and the Creek Indians, for the ceflion of certain lands t > the (late, the governor be re quelled to convene the General Affembly, as foon there after as circumflances would permit. And whereas , I have re ceived information of the rati fication of the afore laid treaty, and other matters of im portance require the deliberation of (he legiflature.—l have there fore thought fit, to iffue this my proclamation, appointing Mon day the eighteenth day of April next, the time for the meeting of the General Affembly, at LouilVillc, the Seat of Govern ment. And Ido hereby enjoin and require the attendance of the fevcral members of the ref pedive branches thereof, on the day and at the place above men tioned.
