Be it enacted by the Seriate <aut House of Representatives
of the Stale of Georgia in General Assembly met, an t it
is hereby enacted by tUe.authority of the same, That every
person who was a fortunate drawer in the land lotteries
by tiie authority of the acts passed on the fifteenth d..y
of December, cighte. n hundred and eighteen, on the^ix-
teentta day of December, eighteen hundred and nfoeleen,
and on the I fte nth day of May, eighteen hundred nnd
tiventy-one, yntftl have untill the first day of November,
eighteen hundred and thirty, to takeout his, her or their
grant upon paying iBto the Treasury the sum of efoht
dollars. e
Stc. 2. Jind he it further enacted by the authority
aforesaid, That from and after the first day of November,
eighteen luinared and thirty, thedands so drawn os afore
said, and not granted, shall revert to and become the
property of tire Slate.
Sec. 3. And bt it further enacted, That this net shall
not extend to any lot or lots uf laud dt&ivn by orphans
un it three years after the said orphans shall have ahiv
d at the age of twenty-one years; nor to any lots drawn
by idiots or lunatics or persons who have departed this
life since th y gave in for a draw or draws in said lotteries
of 1318,1819 & 1921, and whose estates are unrepre

I N presenting to the public his prcspcctus for a new pfi-
per at Columbus, the subscriber does not deem it ne
cessary or expedient to go into a minute detail of his politi
cal doctrines, or of his p»rttcular views in I egard to the va-
i ious topics which now engage public attention. 1 le pre
sumes tin t his character as an editor is loo well known
in Georgia to allow him to gain ciedit among any party,
with mere professions and empty promises. ThepubJiu

In the numerous political discussions, which the events oi
tbe day have called forth, his opinions of m< n and things
have been publicly expressed, and are doubtless familiar

and support. These who have hitherto approved of kis
sentiments and been satisfied with the manner in which
be has urged ibem, will, he trusts, stilt continue their con

In reference however, to the present state of parties*

J OHN TOMKINS having petitioned the Court, sta
ting that Henry Keller did, on the twenty-eighth ol
August eighteen hundred and twenty-nine, in the county
aforesaid, excute and deliver to the said. Tomldns his
certain deed of Mortgage conveying a tract of land in
said county, whereon James P Conner formerly risided,
adjoining V\ bitfield, Alien, Betvl and James Adams—for the
better security and saving the said Tomkins harmless
from the payment of a certain note of hand, payable to
Pleasant H Lawson for five hundred dollars, due the
twenty-fifth of December eighteen hundred and Uventy-
nirn , and made by the said Keller as principal, and the
said Tomkins as security ; and the said Tumkins hav
ing forth- r shewn that the said note is due. and unpaid,
and that he has not been indemnifieffand saved harmless.
It is therefore, on motion of Shorter & Gordon, Attor
nics for th< petitioner, ordered, that the said Keller do
pay into the Clerks office of this court, tbe amount due
upon said note with cost, in six months from this time or
shew cause to the contraiy—also that the equity of re
demption in and to said mortgage premises be, from
-•henceforth burred and forever foreclosed.
And it is Further ordered, That a copy of this role be
served upon the said Keller, or his special agent, at least
three months before the expiration of tbe time witltin
which the money fe so directed to be paid, or be publish
ed once a month for six months in one of the public Gaz ;
etts in this Bute.
