doctrine of nullification in its most obnoxious sense, as the

which, rallying around that abused and vilified patriot, An

apparent, that we will, with sufficient encouragement, on

pap°r The favorable opinion and encouraging advice of
many respected friends, urge us on to the enterprize. VVe
can undertake it; and if once und-rtaken, it shall be contin
ued with perseverance and industry. But we have a right
to exp-ct a corresponding remuneration for ihe expense, la
bor and attention, which will be required to render such a
paper acceptable to its patrons. 1 .
The Constitutionalist will be published every day, from
the 1st of October to the 1st of April—six months—and
semi-weekly, from the 1st of April to the 1st of October-
six months. The price per annum will be eight dollars.—
And if vve find during the business season, that the patron
age will warrant it,xve shall continue the paper daily through
the year, at ten dollars per annum.
The Ilailv Constitutionalist will be a commercial paper.
It shall contain th? shipping news of Boston, .Sew \ ork,
Philapelphia, Baltimore, Norfolk, Charleston, Savannah,
Mobile, New Orleans, and other ports in the United States,
with such other shipping intelligence ot foreign countries,
as car. be obtained, of the earliest datP, and lor which ar-
rangom^nts will be made. A regular statement of all the
principal dom-stic .and foreign markets will be given. All
commercial information will be promptly puolish ‘d, ns well
as the commercial regulations nuopted either by toreign na
tions, with which the United Stut >s are connected by com
mercial intercourse, or by our own government.
It will be the aim of the Editor to r. nder the paper us-ful
and" interesting to the merchant and planter. He flatters
himself, therefore, that he will meet that patronage which
will be necessary to support such an undertaking, and which
he will endeavor to deserve by his attention to business, and
th- industry he will not fail to us- in the mechanical execu
tion of the'paper, and its editorial management.

stitution reads ns follows:
“Di vorces shall not bo grant >d by th- Legislator entr th
parties shall have had a fair trial before the superior cmrl
and a verdict shall have b-en obta'ned, authorizing a di
vorce upon legal principles; and in such cases two thirdsot
each branch of the legislature may pass acts of divorce ro-
cordingly.”
And whereas the frequent, numerous and repeated appli
cations to the legislature to grant divorces, has become a
great nnnoyince to that body, and is well worthy th -ir at
tention, as well on acrouut of the expense consequent on
said applications as the unn-N-ssaril.

R AN AWAY, from tlie subscriber, nlxrat the 10th of A-
pril last, (1833,) in Walton county, (4a. a Degro-man
by the name of JOE, between thirty-five and forty years of
age, very dark complexion, with heavy beard about his
mouth and chin, five feet ten or eleven inches high, 0 coop
er and coarse shoe-maker. It is thought that he may hav
been carried off by some w%ite person, and sold. If so, i
will give the reward of two hundred dollars for the delive
ry of them both to me in the above named county, with suf
ficient proof to ensure th" conviction of the thief, or one
hundred dollars for the Negro alone or information so that
I get him. If not stolen or carried off, it is likely he will
lurk about near some of his relations, for the purpose ol
their Karl wring him; and I will give a reward of twenty-five
dollars to any person who will lodge him in any safe jail,
so lfont 1 get him. He was raised, 1 am informed, by a
gentleman of the name of Craw ford in Greene county, Ga.
and has a brother owned by William Crawford, of Ran
dolph county, another owned by William Merit of Henr
county, and his father and mother are owned by Mrs. Boor,
widow of Sion Boon, Morgan county. Jailers in this Stat-
