AGUE AID fi'EVER,
A ND every symptom of general dehility. speedilv and
permanently cured by COSTER <fc COYE’S
original SOI TIIERN TOXIC.
COtSTER COXE, the inventors of this celebrated
metlit iue, from a long residence in the South, and from the
nature of their vocation, have been bronuht immediately into
conta t wish the ARTE and FEVER in it*mn*t obsti
nate forms, anil have frequently been c«>mp»'llcd to witnejot
the entire want of success in the practice of the most skillful
Physicians. 'The usual and popular mode of treating this
dis- ase has been, firM to evacuate the stomach and bowels,
and then resort to the use of Tonies—of w hit h class of Me-
dixincs a very great vaiioty have be.*n r«‘Comtncnded to the
public—all of which have had their advocates, and that
which has been by far the most popular one, has been Peru
vian Tank and its preparations, particularly that of Quinine.
Th *redre insurmountable objections to the administration of
Q liniue, as to most individuals, nvlien carried to a salutary
point,', it produces a roaring in tlicears, nausea, and a h^ad-
ach, very similar to a bilious hea.larh; and when it effiTts
• cure it is seldom permanent. It was the hope of avoiding
tin’s sfnte of tilings ilia! induced us to try the “Southern
Tonic,’' and we are happy to say that its success has sur
prised even us. As there is no Arst-nic, Mercury, or any
thing in the least hurtful to the human constitution in it,
there can be noohj ction to the administration of the South
ern Tonic to the most tender infant: indeed it will be found
the most delicate and effective Medicine known in the s • fa-
si's of Disorganized S umach and Bowels, and of general
debility which so frequently present themselves in children.
We subjoiu the opinions of a few individual?.
From colonel JOti.\ B. HOG AS, collector of the port of

11,it.hem, (j\-r. Acting adjutant and inspector general of

Mobile, August 18, 1 5 36.
Gentlemen—During the late Creek campaign, I was at
tacked violently wi.h Bilious Intermittent Fever, whi* h for
"<•vcr.il days confined ims'u my quarters at Ta I las see. Your
“Southern Tonic** wa* r- comm, tided to me,and my friend,
Dr. Bussey, actually rode from Tallassee to Montgomery
and back in one day to procure me a bottle, which entirely
relieved me, and enald d in*, before 1 had taken half the
quantity, to proceed on and join the army on Halchachutiha.
Since ray return home my son was uitucked, and I sent into
the city for your Tonic, and regretted to learn there was
none for sale in Mobil *. Cannot you send some to this
place, so that oarciuz-ns may enjoy th»» benefits of the be*t
medicine of the sort 1 have ever tried? Your attention to
this request w ill confer a favor on the afflicted, and oblige
•no who has already experienced its beneficial effects.

Montgomery, November, 1835.
Mcsjts. Coster «J' Cage:
Gentlemen—I have us d your Southern Tonic in n
nuiulnr of rases, and I have no hesitation in saying, that i
have found it decidedly inure efficacious in Ague and Fever
than the rein Mies in general use. Its great merit is its judi
cious combination of Stimulant, Purgative, Tunic and Dia
phoretic qualities.

Debility, caused by a torpid action of the vessels of the skin.
It is singularly efficacious in renovating those constitutions
which have been broken down by injudicious treatment or
juvenile irregularities. In g; neral terms, it is recommended
in All those diseases which arise from impurities of the blood,
or vitiation of the humors, of whatever name or kind.
Some of the above complaint* may require some trifling
assistant applications, which tho circumstances of th'' case
will dictate; but for a general remedy or PURIFICA-
TOR. to REMOVE th.' CAUSE, tlm INDIAN’S
PANACEA w ill generally be four:*! sufficient.
Taken in proper doses, the INDIAN’S PANACEA
operates** an alterative an*! detergent; a diaphoretic, diu
retic and laxative; an ant spasmodic atid anodyne; and, in
pr*»|*cr cases, as a stomachic and emm r *nngogue. Generally
expressed, it increases all the secretions nn«I excre tion*, giv» «
tone to the stomach, and ext ites action in the glands in a
part'fodnr manner. From these principles, its operations
may ne understood.
It islitile more than three years since this preparation was
presented to the public; but, in that short space of time,
some hundreds of persons might he found, who would so
lemnly declare that they b*di. vfod that their lives were sav
ed hy it, and in most cases after they had trfod many and
perhaps all the common remedies in vain. Wherever it is
known, it is rapidly coming info use, and this affords the
m<*s! substantial and convincing proof of its merits.
The value of the PANACEA is most conspicuous in
those long-standing and syphilitic and scrofulous affections
which have defied all other'remedies, and particularly in
those cases where mercury has been so lavishly used as To
cause distressing t ains in the hones, nodes, mercurial ulcers,
derangement of the digestive organs, Are. These it com
pletely removes, and in all cases it entirely eradicates the
diseases and the effects of mercury, renovates tho constitu
tion, and leaves the patient sound and well. In Rheuma
tisms and in Ulcerated Sure Throat, its happy efforts are
not less apparent, giving almost immediate relief. For sale
