Having examined llie business connected
with the offices of llte Clerks of ihe Superior
Inferior and Ordinary Courts we find the satin
satisfactory, and in a condition highly creditable
to the respective incumbents.
The county Treasurers department exhibits
the uhnost fidelity and nearness, and we find
balance in the Treasury of sixteen hundred and
ninety-five dollars nnd seventeen cars.
We recommend the Inferior Court to employ
some suitable workman to repair the roof of the
Court House, and have the vullevs sheeted wit!
lead or copper, and such other repairs as they
nj.tV deem necessary
We recommend toe Inferior Court to allow
the Sheiitrto occupy the Grand Jury room as

koysofthe unoccupied rooms of iheCourt House
We present as a public grievance the general
bad condition of our public roads and call upon
all comrniss oners and overseers to be more strict
in ll e discharge of their duiicS.
We would respectfully cal) the aitemion of
our next Legislature 10 the fact that many mar.

Inferior Court and Jusiices ol’ Ihe peace beyond
ihe limits of the c«uniy in which the Justices
respectively reside, and those marriages being
held b\ some to whose opinions much respect is
due, lo be lotolly void—we therefore hope that
I he next Legislature will make all such mar
riages legal and more plainly define the duties
and powers of the Justices in such cases for the
unite
We recommend the Inferior Court lo proceed
immediately to the . collection of one hundred
doll.::s due from Hugh Lanttin, Tax-collector,
far the year 1835, and locoilect the twenty per
cent, as tue law directs.
We recommend the Inferior Court to give
Wiiliam C. Farrell, Tax-collector, thirty days
io pay over the amodnt of taxes clue tite county,
and if he does not within that time, to proceed
to the collection of the same with tite twenty
per cent, us the law requires
We recommend that the Justices of the peace
of the several districts in Henry county, see that
tite °atrol.l«ws are enforced. And we also
recommend that the citizens of McDonough elect
officers and enforce the corporation laws of said
place for the good order thereof.
We look upon the failure of the internal im
provement Bill in the Iasi Legislature as a se-
rious loss, nud respectively recommend Ihissub-
