Campbell Sheriff's Sale.
W ILL be sold on the first Tuesday in September
next, within the usual hours ol sale, before the
Court House door, in Campbellton, Campbell county,
the following property, to-wit:
A negro man by the name of William, who says he is
from Washington county, Ga.; he has been in my pos
session from the 9th of June, in the year 1842, as a run
away slave; he says his mother was a slave owned by his
father; he also states that his father was a Spaniard, and
lived in Washington couuty, Ga.; he says his father was
very much entangled indebt, and a report got out that he
had lo be sold, and his father advised him to run off
out of the way go that he might not he sold; one of his
forefingers is considerably shorter than the other, per
haps his left forefinger, occasioned by a hurt when he
was small, and he says his name is William Harvey, a
soil of Frank Harvey, he is well built, and weighs about
160 lbs., rather inclined to be slow motioned, he appears
to have been raised in a very idle way &c

V GREEA BLE to an order of the honorable Inferior
Court of Gwinnett county, while sitting for ordi
nary purposes, will he sold at the Court House in said
county, on the first Tuesday in October next, that very
valuable and delightfully situated plantation, belonging
to the estate of James Gilbert, deceased, lying upon the
banks of Chattahoochee river, containing about three
hundred and fifty acres of land; a large now two story
dw elling house, with four spacious rooms above and be
low, completely finished; a good kitchen, storehouse,
and other necessary buildings; the Ferry, (extensivel
known as Gilbert’s Ferry.) together with a good Boat,
