' Tiie following is an extract from a letter received
from Rev. William Galudia: Berkshire, Ft.
' Oct. 22, 1848.
Messrs. Sands. I have been afflicted with a se
vere pain in toy side, occasioned by a diseased liver,
for the la?t twenty years, suffering at times what lan
guage cannot convey; but siucc taking your Sarsapa
rilla 1 have been greatly relieved, so much so that I
have been able to attend to my business, and preach
occasionally, lor the last eighteen months. I wholly
discarded all others medicine, and thoroughly tried
the Sarsaparilla, which I can recommend in truth
and sincerity to all those w ho are in any way afflicted
with any species of scrofulous complaints. There
have been some remarkable cures effected by its use
in this vicinity. Mrs. Shaw, by the use of six bot
tles, was restored to better health than she had before
enjoyed for ten years; and Mr. W. Stevens, who
had been severely afflicted w th erysipelas, was en
tirely cured by the use of a few bottles.

A circumstance not surprising, w hen Ihe vast a

Improved Cotton Gins.
AND PATENT THRESHING MACHINES.
f I VHE Subscriber would inform the Planters of
JL Georgia, that be continues to manufacture
COTTON GINS, on his improved plan, at his Fac
tory. iu Morgan coumy. His Gins are well known,
and universally approved thionghout Georgia, and a
portion of South Carolina. They are made of the
best materials, and no expense will be spared to make
them durable and convenient. The very large sales
he has made for the last few years, is sufficient guar
antee of the excellence of his work. His Gins w ill
he sold on the most liberal terms, and delivered at the
purchaser s residence, and warranted to perform well,
if used according to directions.
He is also manufacturing
PATENT THRESHING MACHINES,
CA BY COX.
Informs the Public that he is prepared
for the reception of persons suffering
with chronic diseases, at his Water Cure
Hydropathic Establishment, near Marietta,
Cobb county, Ga. His Baths are sitnated near
the principal Buildings. The scene in the immedi
ate vicinity is picturesque, being near Kennesaw
Mountain. The scenery, pure water, the great ele
vation above the level ofthe ocean, (being 450 feet
above even the Tennessee line on the Western and
Atlantic Railroad, j the convenience of access by
Railroad, the refitted and intellectual society, and
pure atmosphere, have all most admirably conspired
to render the location suitable for an establishment
ofthe kind.
The Proprietor deems it needless to say any thing
relative to the curative powers of water as the gene-
ral mass of the people in this country have attained a
knowledge of its great value in removing disease. He
flatters himself that he is able with pure Water, to re
move any character or description of disease that
could, under othtr treatmentor circumstances, pos
sibly tie removed—together with a numerous host,
that alt other remedies must necessarily fail to re
move.
