THE TAPE WORM.
This worm is the most difficult one to destroy of all
that inhabit Ihe human body. It grows to an almost in
definite length, and becoming 60 coiled and fastened in
the intestines and stomach as to produce Fils St. Vitus
Dance, &c.; which is the cause of many going lo the

origion from the TapeWorm; consequently they do not

ASCARIDES, OR SMALL THREAD WORMS.
These worms, tow hit h the human system is liable, are
the most troublesome of all others. They are generally
to be found in the rectum, and if allowed to remain,
from the irritation they produce: lay the foundation for
serious disorders, such ns inflammation of the bowels,
and other derangements of the Stomach. The best and
safest medicine that can be used is Hobensa< k's Worm
Syrup. Such is the astonishing power ofmy medicines
over Asoaradies, lhat I defy anyone to produce a case
where my worm Syrup and Liver pills arc recommens
ded to be used they will not cure. All flint is necessary
is to use the Syrup in accordance w iih directions on each
frottle; and in case a gentle purgative is required in order
to allay the irritation they produce, the Liver Pills
by their sympathising action and healthy operation up
on the bowels, it the most pleasant medicine that can be
taken.

such is the case, we would advise all mothers to obtain a bottie

have upon weak systems.
MORE EVIDENCB-The Hon. C D Hinelinc, Mayorofthe
City of Camden. N J, says: “Hooflan.I’s German Bitters—We
have seen many flattering notices of this medicine, and the
source from wruch they came induced us to make inquiry res-
pelting its merits. Fiom inquiry we were persuaded to use it
ami must say we founo it specific, in its action upon diseases
ofthe bver and digestive organs, and the powerful influence
it exerts upon nervous prostration is reallv surprising. It
calms and strengthens ihe n rves, bringing them into estate
of repose, making sleep refreshing. If this medicine was more
generally used, we a-e satisfied there wouid be less sickness
as from the stomach, liver, and nervous svstemthe great ma
jority of real and incr.ginary diseases emana'te. Have them in a
healthy condition, you can bid defiance to epidemics generally
This extraordinary medicine we would advise our friends who
are at all indisposed, to give a trl;i|—it will recommend itself.
It should, in fact, be in every family. No other medicine can
produce such evidences of merit.”
Evidence upon evidence has been received (like the forego
ing) fmr:i a!! sections of the Union, the last three years, and
the strongest testimony in its favor, is. that there is more of it
used in the practice of the regular Physicians of Philadelphia,
than all other nostrums combined, a fact that can easily be
established, and fully proving that’a scientific preparation will
meet with their quiet approval when presented even in this
form.
That this medicine will cure Liver Complaint and
Dyspepsia, no one can doubt after using it as direct
ed. It acts specifically upon the stomach and liver; it
is preferable to calomel in all bilious diseases—Ihe ef
fect is immediate. They can be administered to fe
males or infants with safety and reliable benefit at any
time.
Beirare of Counterfeits.—This medicine has attain
ed that high character whic.a is necessary for all me
dicines to attain to induce counterfeiters to put forth
spurious articles at the risk of the lives of those who
are innocently deceived.
Look icell to the marks of the genuine.—They have
the written signature of C. M JACKSON upon the
wrapper, and his name blown in the Bottle, without
which they are spurious.
