A certain cure for this disease may be found in the

VEGETABLE PAIN KILLER.
Dubuque. Iowa, May 6th, 1856.
Gentlemen—I feel under obligations to you for
the benefit I have received from your iuvBluable
Pain Killer.
A few days since I assisted in laying out and
burying one of our citizens who was supposed to
have diT-d with the Cholera. The next morning 1
was taken with severe vomiting, accompanied
with eoldnrss of the extremities. Warm cover
ings and hot applications failed to restore warmth
Mv wife’s family, who had used the Pain Killer
with success during the cholera season in Buffalo,
in 1347, advised me to take it. I took two doses
at intervals of fifteen minutes; a fine perspiration
ensued, and the next day, barring a little weak-
ess, I was well, and have been since. It maj
have been an attack of ague; but whether agut
or cholera, it answered my purpose.
Since my recovery I find that several of our cit
izens have used the Pain Killer as a remedy for
holera, pronouncing it good. I therefore take
pleasure in recommending it to a still more exten
sive notice.
W. M. CRAWFORD, Att’yatLaw.
Dear Sir :—1 feel it a ditty I owe to the public, to
nke known the va ue of Davis’ Pain Killer, and my
xperience in using it for some of ihe complaints for
which it is recommended. In April last, on your re
commendation, I purchased a $1 bottle of you for pains
with w hicti 1 have long been sfflict'd, and made use
of it on my trip down to New Orleans, with the most
henefiei 1 and gra dying effects. Oil (he return trip to
ibis eity, the cholera made its appearance amour some
if my passengers. I made use of the Pain Killer, hav
ing no other remedy on board, and to my surprise and
gratification found it gave immediate relief. On my
rrival in 8t. Louis I coiled upon you aud got four large
hottles end stated to you my confidence in it as an in
fallible cholera remedy, remarking to you that I warned
ither eholera remedy on my boat. I made use ol
the four bottles on my trip to New Orleans and back,
for cholera ar.d some other complaints for which it is
recommended and met wilh the most astonishing suc
cess. Since then 1 have made two more trips to New
Orleans and bar k, and on my previous trip up, 1 had
more than SEVENTY cases of CHOI.ERa on board
when tiie Pain Killer was immediately used wilh the
mcsl astonishing results. In all cases where it was
used in time, it gave relief in a very short time ; anti I
can with confidence say to the public, that in all the
fir-t stages of the cholera, when taken in time, it is, in
my opinion, an infallible remedy. Arid after a fair
trial with it for several weeks, and for four trips to N.
Orleans and hark, and using it fur cholera and other
complaints for which it is recommended, no considera
tion whatever would induce me to leave port without
a good supply. J. M. BKOADWELL
Capt. Steamer Atlantic.
T most cordially unite with Captain Broad well in re.
commending Perry Davis’ Pam Killer to the public,
having myself been severely attacked w ith the Cholera,
and have myself administered it lo more than fifty p. r
sons a tacked wilh ihe cholera, and a cure was < fbcted
in a few hours. I take pie'sure in recommending it to
the public as an invaluable medicine that no individual
should be without a single h ur.
JOHN N. U' FFINGER,
Cl'k Sleamer Atlantic.
Davis'Pain Kii.ler — In today’s Union will be
found an advertisement of this celebrated remedy. The
certifi ate appended from the Captain and Clerk ot the
Steamer Atlnntic, we know to be genuine, and (bunded
on fuels, as they verbally slated in our office ihe subs
stance uf what they publish.—[St. Lou.s Union.
ik?* Those using the Pain Killer for the eholera
should strictly observe the following directions, and he
sure and get the genuine article.
At ihe comm.- cement of the disease lake a tea-
spoonful of the Pain Killer in sugar and water, and then
BATHE FREEl-Y acioss the stomach and taiwels Will,
the Pain Kill r clear. Should itie Dinrrhffia or crainp-
cumiiiue. repeal the do-e evert filieen minutes. In
this way the dreadful scourge may be checked and the
paliem relieved in a c urse of a tew hours.
N B It is recommended by liaise who have used
rile Pain Kdler for ihe cholera, that in extreme cases the
patient iak> two leaspoonlnls instead of one.

44 New Orleans, 5 th April, 1854.
44 Sir : T have great satisfaction in assuring you that myself
and family have been very much benefited by your mediciuee.
My wife was cured, two years since, of a severe and dangerous
cough, by your Cherry* Pectoral, and since then has enjoyed
perfect health. My children have several times been cured from
attacks of the Influenza and Croup by it. It is an invaluable
remedy for these complaints. Your Cathartic Pills have en
tirely cured me from a dyspepsia and costiveness which have
grown upon me for some years: indeed, this cure is much more im
portant. from th“ fact that I had failed to get relief from the best
Physicians which this section of the country affords, and from
anv of the numerous remedies I had taken.
44 You seem to us, Doctor, like a providential blessing to our

« Dr. J. C. Ater. Honored Sir: I have made a thorough trial
of the Cathartic Pills left me by your agent, aud have been
cured by them of tne dreadful Rheumatism under which ho
found me suffering. The first dose relieved me, and a few subse
quent doses have entirely removed the disease. I feel in better
health now than for some’years before, which I attribute entirely
to the effects of your Cathartic Pills.

Sir: In consequence of having hair, for several years
past, not only gray, hut perfectly w hite. I have cut it
short, and worn caps to hide it from view ;bui some three
months since,I was induced to use your Hair Restorative,
and I must, in justice say, that its effects were almost
miraculous; for it has changed it gradually to almost its
former splendor as to color, and left it so soft and glossy
as to he more beautiful than it ever was, when under
the influence of ihe finest oil. I earnestly, therefore,
recommend it to every lady ns decidedly the best prep
aration for toilet use, of anything of the work!
