numerous instances proved highly beneficial, und in
others effected a decided cure. V
This is a purely vegetable compound, prepared on
strictly scientific principles, after the manner of the cel
ebrated Holland Professor, Bocrhave. Because of its
great success in most of the European States, its intro
duction into the United States was intended more es
pecially for those of our fatherland scattered here and
there over the face of this mighty country. Meeting
ith great success among them, I now offer it to the
American public, knowing that its truly wonderful medi
cinal virtues must be acknowledged.
It is particularly recommended to those persons whose
constitutions may have been impaired by the continu
ous use of ardent spirits, or other forms of dissipation.
Generally instantaneous in effect, it finds its way direct
ly to the seat of life, thrilling and quickening every
nerve, raising up tU; drooping spirit, and, iu fact, infus
ing new health and vigor in the system.
NOTICE—Whoever expects to find this a beverage
will be disappointed; but to the sick, weak and low
spirited, it will prove a grateful aromatic cordial, pos

The great popularity of this delighfiM Aroma has in

riMIK incomparable and truly wonderful TURKISH
1 OIL, or LINIMENT. For Rheumatism, and pains
in general, it stands unrivalled, which cannot be sur
passed (if equalled) for its promptness and relief in
Rheumatism, Headache, Cramp Cholic, Sprains, Bruis
es, Pains in the hack or side, Bone Felons, Neuralgia,
Swellings, Stiffness or soreness in the joints, Bronchial
Affections, Spasms, Deafness or Ear Ache, Croup, and
Chills and Fever. Its action in acute pain is from one
to fifteen minutes, is quite harmless to the patient; as it
is prepared without mercury or poisons. It will perform
cures quicker and with more certainty than any of the
Electric Oils, Liniments, Ointments or Powders vet dis
covered. I assert this without hesitation, and liid de
fiance to all opposition. It acts as a Disculient. Diner-
tic, Sudorific, Anti-Spasmotic and Tonic. It does not
vomit, purge or blister the patient. It needs but a fair
trial to confirm the skeptic in favor of its virtues. I
have made the Electric Oil several years ago. This is a
decided improvement oil that article. Try it.

HOLLOWAY’S OiiNTMNET!
The anniversary of the introduction of Holloway’s
Ointment ought to be a Jubilee forever. I. has saved
countless multitudes from disfigurement, pnralvzation,
mutilation, ugony und death. Starting from the surface
to which it is applied, its healing balm finds its way
through every coating aud ligament of the body, to the
very source and basis of all eruptive, ulcerous, tumor
ous and cancerous diseases. It extinguishes the febrile
principle that feeds them, and the outward symptoms
fade, heal, and pass away with a rapidity incredible tc
those wan have not witnessed it
Scrofulous Eruptions and liters.
The poison of Scrofula has never been neutralized or
expelled by any of the remedies of the pharmacopeia.
Tue sole antidote to this viruleut and destructive ele
ment, is Holloway’s Ointment. Majendie & Brodie, the
great Frencii and English surgeons, do not deuv or dis.
pute tjjiis great fact. There is no form of scrofula that
muv not heeontroledaud cured bv tliis balsomic remedy.
CANCERS AND TUMORS.
The knife, or caustic may remove a cancer or tumor,
but the seeds of the terrible excrescence remain in the
blood, aud it Is soon reproduced in a worse form than
before. Holloway’^ Ointment, on the contrary, peue-
trates into the circulation, and pervades every Infected
vesicle, and kills thedisease by destroying the corrosive
principle that generated aud sustains it.
INFI.AMMA TIO.VS OF THE SKIN.
All rashes und ordinafy cruptiuns, as well as Erysip

a few brisk applications of the Ointment
ACCIDENTAL INJURIES,
Wounds, Sprains, Bruises, Scalds and Bums are iin
mediately relieved by its application. The inflamma

Sherry Wine Tonic Bitters!!
This Elegant Stomach Bitters,
Composed Fntiiiely of Roots and Herbs, and
compounded with the best of Sherry Wine, requires
no panegyric to establish its frame. Its increasing de
mand for the past seven years throughout the United
States in private familes, aud all the principal Hotels,
being a sufficient test of its efficacy iu restoring the tone
and nervous energy of the various organs contributing
to digestion. Possessing the valuable properties of an
Alterative, Antispeptic and Aromatic Bitter, it gently
ixcites the secretions of the gastiejuiee, invigorates the
spirits, removes from the blood the germs of disease,
and increases tiie nervous energy of all the vital powers.
Its effects during the rage of the cholera in 1819 were
most extraordinary. As a preventive and a care it
proved alike reliable; and tiie testimony iu favor is of the
most incontrovertible and emphatic character. It is
warmly recommended by the faculty, whose opinions of
its merits is corroborated by faet which cannot be sha
ken or disputed. The proprietor does not offer them to
the public ns a cure for every disease which flesh is heir
to; but simply aud with the full assurance,
That it is the Best Preparation ever Offered
to the Pubi.ic as a Purifier of the System.
But it is the condition of the stomach and the system
generally—not the name of the disease—which must be
taken into consideration in using it, ns there is scarcely
a single complaint in which it cannot be advantageously
used. It is especially recommended to ladies of delicate
habit, ns an invaluable tonic and restorative to all the
exigencies peculiar to tlie-weaker sex, and affords great
relief in cases when taken to relieve uneasiness after
meals. It is pleasant to the taste, efficacious in its desij
and no person, after giving it a fair trial, will ever
