numerous instances proved highly beneficial, and in
ot herb effected a decided cure.
This is a purely vegetable compound, prepared on
strictly scientific principles, after the manner of the cel
ebrated Holland Professor, Boerhave. Because ol its
great success ill most of the European .States, its intro
duction into the United States was intended more es
pecially for those of our fatherland scattered here ai d
there over the fnee of this mighty country. Meeting
with grout success among tliem, I now offer it to the
American public, knowing that its truly woude rful medi
cinal virtues must be acknowledged.
It is particularly recommended to those- persons whose
constitutions may have been impaired by the continu
ous wo- of ardent spirits, or other forms of dissipation.
Generally instantaneous in effect, it finds its way direct
ly to the seat of life, thrilling and quickening every
nerve; raising up the drooping spirit, and, in fact, infus
ing new health and vigor in the system.
N't)TI( K—Whoever expects to find this a beverage
will la-disappointed: but to the sil k, weak and low
spirited, it will prove a grateful aromatic cm dial, pos
sessed of singular remedial properties,
CATTTIOKT.
The great popularity of this delightful Aroma has in
duced many imitations, which the public should guard
against purchasing. Be not pursuaded to buy any
thing else until you have given Boerlmve’s Holland
Bitters a fair trial. One bottle will convince you how
infinitely superior it is to all these imitations.

IIOL LO W AY’S OL\ T M N ET!
The anniversary of the introduction of Holloway’s
Ointment ought to be a Jubilee forever. It has saved
countless multitudes from disfigurement, paralyzation,
mutilation, agony and death. Starting from the surface
to which it is applied, its healing bairn finds iU way
through every coating and ligament of the body, to the
very source and basis of all eruptive, ulcerous, tumor
ous and cancerous diseases. It extinguishes the febrile
principle that feeds them, and the outward symptoms
hide, heal, and pass away with a rapidity incredible to
those whn have not witnessed it.
SfrofniouH Eruptions and l leers.
The poison of Scrofula has never been neutralized or
expelled by any of tlie remedies of the pharmaeopa ia.
The sole ahlidote to this virulent and destructive ele
ment, is Holloway’s Ointment. Majendie& Hrodie, the
great French and English surgeons, do not denv or dis.
pute this great fact. There is no form of scrofula that
may uut bccontrolcdand cured bv this balsomic remedy.
CANCERS AMD TUMORS.
The knife or caustic may remove a cancer or tumor,
but the seeds of the terrible excrescence remain in the
blond, and it Is/toon reproduced in a worse form than
before. Holloway’s Ointment, on the contrary, pene
trates into the circulation, and pervades every infected
vesicle, und kills the disease by destroying tlie corrosive
principle that generated and sustains it.
INFLAMMATIONS OF THE SKIN.
All rashes and ordinafv eruptiuns, as well as Erysip
elas, Acne, Ringworm, Carbuncles, Scald Head, Salt
liheunn*. Leprosy, Prickly aeat, &e., are removed by
a few brisk applications of the Ointment.
ACCIDENTAL INJURIES,
Wounds, Sprains, llrnMes, Scobis and Hums are im
mediately relieved by its application. The inflamma
tion ijuiukly subsides, fevers and lockjaw are prevented
and under a persevering use ofthe preparation, the pro
cess of healing is soon accomplished.
Both the Ointment and Pills should he
used in the following cases:
Bunions, Mercurial eruptions, Sores of all kinds
Burns, Rheumatism, Nprains,
Chapped hands, Salt Kheinu, Scalds,
Chilblains, Skm diseases. dwelled glands,

Sherry Wine Tonic Bitters!!
This Klegant Stomach Bitters,
Comtosed Kntirei.it of Roots and Herds, and
compounded with the best of Sherry Wine, requires
no panegyric to establish its frame. Its increasing de
mand for the past seven years throughout the United
States in private familes, and all the principal Hotels,
being a sufficient test of its efficacy in restoring the tone
and nervous energy of the various organs contributing
to digestion. Possessing the valuable properties of an
Alterative, Autispeptic and Aromatic Bitter, it gently
excites tin- secretions of the gustiejuiee, invigorates the
spirits, removes from the blood the germs of disease,
and ini 1 .': ases the nervous energy of all the vital powers.
Its off. ts during the rage of the' cholera in 1813 were
most extraordinary. As a preventive and a cure it
proved alike reliable: and the testimony in favor is of the
most incontrovertible and emphatic character. It is
warmly recommended by the faculty, whose opinions of
its merits is corroborated by fai t which cannot be sha
ken or disputed. The proprietor does not offer them to
the public as a cure for every disease which tfosh is heir
to; but simply and with the full assurance,
Thatitisthe Best Preparation ever Offered
to the Public as a Purifier of the System.
But it is the condition of the stomach and the system
generally—not the name ofthe disease—which must be
taken into consideration in using it, as there is scarcely
a single complaint in which it cannot be advantageously
used. It is especially recommended to ladies of delicate
habit, as an invaluable tonic and restorative to all the
exigencies peculiar to the weaker sex, and affords great
relief ir. cases when taken to relieve uneasiness after
meals. It is pleasant to tlie taste, efficacious in its design,
and no person, after giving it a fair trial, will ever Dt
without them as a preventive, and also a remedy for the
above complaints, so long as money can buy them.
