This is a purely vegetable compound, prepared on
strictly scientific principles, after the manner of the cel
ebrated Holland Professor, Boerhave. Because of its
great success in most of the European States, its intro
duction into the United States was intended more es
pecially for those of our fatherland scattered here and
there over the face of this mighty country. Meeting
with great success among them, I now offer it to the
American public, knowing that its truly wonderful medi
cinal virtues must be acknowledged.
It is particularly recommended to those persons whose
constitutions may have been impaired by the continu
ous use of ardent spirits, or other forms of dissipation.
Generally instantaneous in effect, it finds its way direct
ly to tlie seat of life, thrilling and quickening every
nerve, raising up the drooping spirit, and, in fact, infus
ing new health and vigor in the system.
N< ITICK—Whoever expects to find this a beverage
will be disappointed; but to the sick, weak and low
spirited, it will prove a grateful aromatic cor dial, pos

The great popularity of this delightful Aroma has in

SPRINGS.
S INCE the last Season I have radi
cally changed the appearance of
my place. I have arranged my build- jjjj|
ings in such a manner as will conduce p, , §|
most to the convenience and comfort of my guests.
The Bathing Houses are in good repair, and an
ample supply of pure water in readiness.
g^There are FOUR SPRINGS immediately on the
campus—Chalybeate, Sulphur, aud Free Stone
The excellence of these waters, especially the
Chalybeate, in the cure of Chronic Diarrhoea,
Dyspepsia, Kidney and Eruptive Diseases, has
been tested too often, and their curative powers
too widely known, to require any extended ac
count of them.
To all those who are generally debilitated the
Chalybeate water is earnestly recommended, from
whatever cause the debility may Lave originated.
It is also an invaluable remedy for a great many of
the diseases to which the female constitution is
subject. To those who have not, and wish an ap
petite, I say
Coiue and Drink at the Fount of Nature.
To all those who are seeking pleasure, pleasant
temperature, and pure air, we emphatically say
“here is the place.” We have had visitors who
have been to the various Watering Places at the
North in quest of health, who found no relief until
they came to these Springs.
file Chalybeate Springs are situated in Mer-
riwether County, 20 miles from Geneva (on the
Muscogee Railroad,) also the same distance from
Thomaston (the terminus of the Bartlesville 6e
Thomaston Railroad.) There will be a DAILY’
LINE OF COACHES from both these places TO
THE SPRINGS.
I also take the liberty here to state that the
WARM SPRINGS are in readiness for the ac
commodation of Visitors. They are only 7 miles
from the CHALYBEATE, to and from which there
will he daily Coaches.
Permit me to return grateful thanks for past
patronage, and extend a cordial invitation for the
ensuing season.

HOLLOWAY’S OINTMNET!
The anniversary of the introduction of Holloway’s
Ointment ought to be a Jubilee forever. It lias saved
countless multitudes from disfigurement, puralyzntion,
mutilation, agony and death. Starting from the surface
to which it is applied, its healing balm finds its way
through every coating and ligament of the body, to the
very source and basis of all eruptive, ulcerous, tumor-
ous’and cancerous diseases. It extinguishes the febrile
principle that feeds them, and the outward symptoms
fade, heal, and pa.-s away with a rapidity incredible to
those whn have not witnessed it.
Scrofulous Eruptions and lifers.
Tlie poison of Scrofula has never been neutralized or
expelled by any of the remedies of the pharma copain.
The sole antidote to this virulent and destructive ele
ment, is Ifolloway’s Ointment Majendie & Brodie, the
great French and English surgeons, do not deny or ilis.
pute this great fact. There is no form of scrofula that
uiavnot becontroledand cured bv this balsoinic remedy.
CANCERS AND TUMORS.
Tlie knife or caustic may remove a cancer or tumor
but tlie seeds of the terrible excrescence remain in tlie
blood, and it Is soon reproduced in a worse form than
before. Holloway’s Ointment, on tlie contrary, pene
trates into the circulation, and pervades every infected
vesicle, anil kills the disease by destroy ing the corrosive
principle that generated und sustains it.
INFLAMMATIONS OF THE SKIN.
! All rashes and ordinafy ernptiuns, ns well ns Erysip
elas. Acne, Ringworm, Carbuncles, Scald Head, Salt
' lilieume, Leprosy, l’rickly neat, &e., are removed by
a few brisk applications of the Ointment.
ACCIDENTAL INJURIES,
Wounds, Sprains, Bruises, Scalds and Burns are im
mediately relieved liy its application. The inflamma
tion quickly subsides, fevers anil lockjaw are prevented
and under a persevering use of the preparation, the pro
cess of hsnling is soon accomplished.
Both the Ointment and Pills should he
used in the following cases:

The following remedies are offered to the public as
the best, most perfect which medical science can
afford. Ayer’s Cathartic Pills have been pre
pared with the utmost skill which the medical pro
fession of this age possesses, and their effects show
thev have virtues which surpass any combination of
medicines hitherto known. Other preparations do
more or less good; but this cures such dangerous
complaints, so quick and so surely, as to prove an
efficacy and a power to uproot disease beyond any
thing which men have known before. By'removing
the obstructions of the internal organs and stimulat
ing them into healthy "action, they renovate the foun
tains of life and vigor, — health courses anew through
the body, and the sick man is well again. They arc
adapted to disease, and disease only, for when taken
by one in health they produce but little effect. This
is the perfection of "medicine. It is antagonistic to
disease, and no more. Tender children mav take
them with impunity. If they arc sick they will cure
them, if they are well they will do them no narm.
Give them to some patient who has been prostrated
with bilious complaint: see his bent-up, tottering form
straighten with strength again ; see his long-lost appe
tite return; see his clammy features blossom into
health. Give them to some sufferer whose foul blood
has burst out in scrofula till his skin is covered with
sores; who stands, or sits, or lies in anguish. He has
been drenched inside and out with every potion which
ingenuity could suggest. Give him these Pills, and
mark the effect; see the scabs fall from bis body ; sec
the new, fair skin that has grown under them ; see the
late leper that is clean. Give them to him whose
angry humors have planted rheumatism iu his joints
ana bones ; move him and he screeches with pain ; he
too has been soaked through every muscle of his body
with liniments and salves; give him these PiLLS to
purify his blood; they may not cure him, for, alas!
there are cases which no mortal power can reach ; but
mark, he walks with crutches now, and now lie walks
alone ; they have cured him. Give them to the lean,
sonr, haggard dyspeptic, whose gnawing stomach has
long ago eaten every smile from his face and every
muscle from liis body. See his appetite return, and
with it his health; see the new man. See her that
was radiant with health and loveliness blasted and too
early withering away; want of exercise, or mental an
guish, or some lurking disease, has deranged the inter
nal organs of digestion, assimilation, or secretion, till
thev do their office ill. Her blood is vitiated, her
health is gone. Give her these Pills to stimulate the
vital principle into renewed vigor, to cast out the ob
structions, and infuse a new vitality into the blood.
Now look again — the roses blossom on her cheek,
and where lately sorrow sat joy bursts from every fea
ture. See the sweet infant wasted with worms. Its
wan, sickly features tell you without disguise, and
f ainfullv distinct, that they are eating its life away.
ts pincKed-up nose and ears, and restless sleepings,
tell the dreadful truth in language which every mother
knows. Give it the Pills in large doses to sweep
these vile parasites from the body. Now turn again
and sec the ruddy bloom of childhood. Is it nothing
to do these things ? Nay, are they not the marvel of this
age ? And yet they are done around you every day.
Have you the less serious symptoms of these dis
tempers, thev are the easier cured. Jaundice, Costive
ness, Headache, Sideache, Heartburn, Foul Stomach,
Nausea, Pain in the Bowels, Flatulency, Loss of Ap
petite, King’s Evil, Neuralgia, Gout, and kindred
complaints all arise from the derangements which
these Pills rapidly cure. Take them perseveringly.
and under the counsel of a good Physician if you can ;
if not, take them judiciously by such advice as we
give you, and the distressing, dangerous diseases they
cure, which afflict so many millions of the human race,
are cast out like the devils of old —they must bur
row in the brutes and in the sea. Price 25 cents pc’
box—5 boxes for $1.
Through a. trial of many years, and through every
nation of civilized men, Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral
has been found to afford more relief, and to cure m° rc
cases of pulmonary disease, than any other remedy
known to mankind. Cases of apparently settled con
sumption have been cured by it, and thousands of sm- ^
ferers, who were deemed beyond the reach of human
aid, have been restored to their friends and usefulness-
to sound health and the enjoyments of life, by this au-
