This is a purely
strictly seientitie principles, after the manner of the
obraied Holland Professor, Boerhave. Because of its
great success iu most of (lie European States, its intro
duction into the United States was intended more es
pecially for those of our fatherland scattered lu re and
there over the face of this mighty country. Meeting
with great success among them, I now offer it to the
Amerieau public, knowing that its truly wonderful medi
cinal virtues must be acknowledged.
It is j irr.cuhuiy recommended t > those persons whose
constitutions may have been impaired by the continu
ous use of ardent "spirits, or other forms of dissipation
Generally instantaneous in effect, it finds its way direct
ly to the seat of life, thrilling and quickening every
nerve, raising up the drooping spirit, and, in fact, infus
ing new health and vigor m flic system.
NOTICE—Whoever expects to find this a beverage
will be disappointed; but to the sick, weak and low
spirited, it will’prove a grateful aromatic cordial, pos
sessed of singular remedial properties,
Tiie great popularity of thin delightful Aroma Ims in-
dueed many inlitauons, which the public should guard
_ainst purchasing. Be net pursuaded to buy any
thing else until you have given Boerhave’s Holland
Bitters a fair trial. One bottle will convince you how
infinitely superior it is to all these imitations.

_S ventionnf.1. ADA.’IN of Putnam County, Ga.
The SUPERIOR QUALITIES of this Imcliment
are generally shown us follows, viz:
1st. It is a Scooter Stock, but so arranged that with
ease and rapidity, either a Scooter, Shovel, Bulltongue,
Sweep, Subsoil or Turn-Plough may be adapted to the
Stock.
2d. Owing to the strength and lightness of the Stock,
(it weighing only 1 Gibs.,) a larger Plough-hoe may be
attached than is generally used if desired, particularly
on light or sandy soil.
3d. It cleans itself constantly, anil does not choke,
and will “take” in hard or stiff land, running deep.
lili. The ease and rapidity with which the different
Plough-Hoes are put on or removed, together with tin-
firm and steady manner in which they are held on by
the Clamp aud Heel Screw are of decided advantages.
We have used ADAM’S PLOUGH, and find that it
has all tiie advantages above mentioned:

Fou Jaundice and all Liveii Complaints.
From Dr. Theodore Bell, of Xeir York City.
u Not only are your Pills admimbly adapted t • tlicir purp ie
an aperient, hut I find their beneficial up ii tho
Liver very marked indeed. They have in mv practice prec 1
more effectual f«#r the cure of bUiou* omipiuirr* tbau any me*
remedy I cau mention. I sincerely r<*j.>ic.* that have
length a purgative which is worthy the confidence of the pro
fession aud the people.’*
Dyspepsia — Inthoestio?:.
From Dr. Henry J. Kit or, of St. Louis.
“The Pills you were kind enough to send me hnve l*een nil
used in my practice, and have satisfied me that they are truly
an extraordinary medicine. So peculiarly art* they adapted t>»
tiie diseases of the human system, that they seem to work up>u
them alone. I have cured some cases ».!' dyspepsia and indi
gestion with them, which had resisted the oth -r remedies we
commonly use. Indeed I have experimentally found them to
be effectual iu almost all the complaints for which you recom
mend them.”
Dysentery — Diarrikea — Relax.
F-oni Dr. J. O. Green, of Chicago.
“Your Pills have had a long trial in my practice, and I hold
them in esteem os one of the beet aperients i have ever fount.
Their alterative effect upon the liver makes them an excellent
remedy, when given in small doses, for bilious dysentery and
dinrrhu x. Their sugar-coating makes them very acceptable
and convenient for the use of women and children.”
Internal Obstruction’—Worms —Suppression.
From Mrs. E. Stuart, who practices rs a Phy*icia -i and Midwife in
Boston.
“I find one or two large doses of your Pn.L B , taken at the
proper lime, are excellent promotives of the rnturd secreti -n
when wholly or partially suppressed, and also very effectual to
cleans.* the stomach and expel worms. They are so much the
best physic we have that I recommend no other to my patients.”
Constipation — Costiveness.
From Dr. J. P. Vaughn., Montreal, Cnn-ida.
“Xtyo much cannot be said of your Pu ts f>r the enro of cof-
tirenrss. If others of our fraternity have found them as
efficacious as I have, they should join me in proclaiming it i t
the benefit of the multitudes who suffer from tli it complaint,
which, although bad enough in itself, is the progenitor - f others
that are worse. I U-lieve costumes* to origin.au in tit*? liver,
but your Pills affoct that organ and cure tiie disease.”
Impurities of the Blood — Scrofula — Erysip
elas — Salt Rheum — Tetter — Tumors —
Rheumatism — Gout — Neuralgia.
From Dr. Ezekiel Hall, Philadelphia.
“Yon were right. Doctor, in saying that your I* ills purify the
blood. They do that. I have used them of late years in my
practice, and agree with your statements of their efficacy. They
stimulate the excretories. and carry off the impurities that
stagnate in the blond, engendering disease, 'i h« y stimulate
the orgitns of digestion, and infuse vitality and vigor into the
system.
*• Such remedies ns yon prepare are a national benefit, and you
deserve great credit for them/’
For Headache — Sick Headache—Fovl Stomach
— Piles — Dropsy — Plethora — Paralysis —
Fits — &c.
From Dr. Edward Boyd, Baltimore.
“Dear Dr. Ayer: I cannot answer you what complaints I
have cured with your Pills better than to say all that we erer
treat with a purgdue medicine. 1 place great dependence on
an effectual cathartic in mv daily contest with dis.*a««,ar.d I*-
lieviug as I do that your Pills afford us the best we have, I of
course value them highly.”
BzF Most of thy Pills in market contain Mercury, which, al
though a valuable remedy in skilful hands, is oaugerous in a
pubiic pill, from the dreadful consequences that frequently
follow its incauti ous use. These contain uu mercury or mineral
substance whatever.
Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral
Has long been manufactured by a practical chemist, and every
ounce < f it und-T his own eve. with invariable accuracy aud
care. It is sealed and protected by law from counterfeits, and
consequently can be relied on as genuine, without adulteration.
It supplies the surest remedy the wor ld has ever known for tna
cure of all pulmonary complaints; for Coughs, Colds. IIuRtu-
NE&4, Asthma, Croup, Whooping Cough, Bronchitis, lNCiw£.y
Consumption, and for the relief of consumptive patients in ad
vanced stages of the disease. As time makes these facts wider
and better known, this medicine has gradually become the pest
reliance of the afflicted, from the log cabin of the American
peasant to the palaces of European kings. Throughout tms
entire country, in every state and city, and iadetd almost every
hamlet it contains, Cn err r Pectoral is kuown as the best w
all remedies f«»r diseases of the throat and lungs. In oauf
foreign countries it is extensively used by their most intelligent
physicians. If there is any dependence on whotmen of e*ery
station certify it has done fur them: if we can trust our own
senses when we see the dangerous affections of the iuugs yie»p
to it; if we can depend on the assurance oi intelligent physi
cians’, w hose business is to know ; in short, if there is ao.X
reliance upon any tiling, then is it irrefutably proven that thi>
medicine does cure the class of diseases it is designed for, beyouu
any and all other remedies known to mankind. Nothing w
its intrinsic virtues, and the unmistakable benefit conferred o
thousands of sufferers, could originate and maintain the rep
utation it enjoys. While many inferior remedies have
thrust upon the community, have failed*, and been *
this has gained friends by every trial, conferred benefits
the afflicted they can never forget, and produced cures too
merous and remarkable to be forgotteu.
