car That no other Fill, or remedy for Liver
Complaint, has gained, so deservedly, the reputa
tion now enjoyed by Dr. AP Lane's Celebrated Liv
er Fills, prepared by Fleming Bros, of Pittsburgh.
As an evidence that they will cure, read the fol
lowing certificate from a lady residing in our own
city :
New York, January 23, 1852.
This is to certify that 1 have hnd the liver com
plaint for six years, and never could get any medi
cine to help me until I commenced using Dr. AC
Lane's Celebrated Liver Fills, prepared by Flem
ing Bros. I can now say to the public, that, they
have completely cured me; and I do hereby re.
commend them to all persons afflicted with a
diseased Liver. They will cure. Try them.

Dr WISTAR’S BALSA JI OF WILD
CHERRY.
Where this article is known it is a work of su
pererogation to say one word in is favor, so well
is it established as an unfailing remedy for
toughs, Colds, Bronchitis, Croup, Whooping
Cough. Asthma, Quinsy, Phthisic, diseases of the
Throat, Chest, and Lungs, as well as that most
dreaded of all diseases, consumption, which high
medical authority has pronounced to be a curable
disease. Those who have used this remedy know
its value ; those who have not have but to make a
single trial to be satisfied that of all others it is
the remedy.
Further Testimony.
Owego, Nov. 9,1859.
Messrs, S. W. Fowle A Co..—
Gentlemen:—Some ten years since I was at
tacked with a severe and distressing cough, the
long continuance of which alarmed me, and ad
monished me to look for some remedy to rescue
me from the dangerous condition in which I found
niy<e!t.
From what 1 Lad heard of JFVs/ar's Balsam of
II Ad Cherry, I concluded to give that preparation
a trial, which 1 did, and by its use obtained im
mediate and permanent relief. Again, about five
y.-ars afterwads, I was taken with a severe hacking
cough, accompanied with a pain in the chest and
aide, tickling in the throat, etc., which so reduced
my health ami strength as to unfit me for attend
ing to my ordinary bnisinesa. I applied to well
know4i physicians ami used their prescriptions
without any perceptible benefit ; when, after hav
ing been confined to my room for several months,
] again had recourse to IF/JtZar’ir Balsam, and. to
my great joy, found, as before, immediate relief,
and two bottles restored me to perfect health.
. 1 would also state that several of my friends
have used the Balsam with the same astonishing
results.
I have known of there being in the market a
miserable and worthless spurious Balsam. In
purchasing, 1 always look forthat prepared by 8.
IK Fowle <£• Co., Boston, which has the written
signature of I. Butts on the wrapper; and I would
caution all. as they value health, to do the same.

Caution to Purchasers. — The only genuine
Wixlar's Balsam has the written signature of “ 1

the outer wrapper; all other is vile and worth
less.

SOUTHERN SCHOOL TEACHERS.
THE PHILOMATHIC INSTITUTE has for
several years been actively engaged in pre
paring young Ladies and Gentlemen for School-
Teachers—in drilling them for taking charge of
Southern Seminaries.
Science Hill has been blessed with geniuses
of many experienced Teachers, who ascended her
slopes to drink deeper of the Pierian Fount at her
summit; and this number added to the worthy
few, who have had no real experience, but who
are, after many days labor, fully prepared for the
same great work, gives us at present a worthy
class of Teachers, who are willing to teach if they
can get proper situations. Thus, Trustees who
want to supply their Academies with good teach
ers, can send me a line stating the salary they
give, the number of students they have in the
school, the general advancement of the students.
Ac., Ac., and they shall have a Female or Male
Teacher of the qualifications required.
