the best medical aid the country uilbrded. Having
tried the most skillful physicians in Rome, I applied

then successively to Dr. Dogas, of Augusta, Dr.
Banks, of Gainesville, Dr. Fort, of Milledgeville,
Dr. Catridgu, of Glmttoogn county, and the reput

failed to give relief, I finally, upon Dr. Jones, loca

Tho Faculties, for intellectual abilities moral
worth and professional acquirements, will compare
favorably with tho inOBt distinguished in our coun
try. The medical faculty constitutes an anomaly in
this or any other country—ull of thorn arc able lec
turers nnd the best of teachers.
Those who will contemplate our geographical po
sition, and tho extent ol our population, can have no
doubt as to tho eligibility of our situation for an en
terprise ol tho kind. As to health, inciuu ng nil sea

more.
A common error exists in the minds of many
students relative to the place of studying medicine;
those who intend practising among thothe diseases
of tho I Vest and South, should certainly educate
themselves at a school whoso Faculty ure practi
cally acquainted with those diseases.
That the public may be satisfied of this school,
wo feci it our duty to state, that the Trustees and
Faculty form a unit in action, which augurs well
for its future success; and that tho peculiar inter
nal organization which connects them, cannot be in*

A gentleman in the South of Europo and Pales*

in favor of JEW DAVID'S PLASTER, and of
tho (as ba considered) miraculous cures it hod pet*
formed, that he was induced to try it on his own
person, for a Lung and Liver Affection, the removal
of which had been the chief object of hie journey,
but which hod resisted the genial and deliciou
clime.
He accordingly applied a plaster on the right
side of his cheat where the pain was seated, another
between tho shoulders, and one over tho region of
the liver. In the meantime ho drank freely of an
herb tea of laxative qualitiea. Ho soon found hitf
health improving, and in a few weeks hie cough left
him the eallownees ol hi* skin disappeared, bfe
pain was removed, aud hie health became porm„
