Disease of Stomach Spine and Head.
For the benefit ofsiitfering humanity, I have
thought propel to lay my enso before the public.
Haying .beqn severely afflicted for several years
with a disease of the stomuoh, spine and head—to
enmnyrnte all the long train of symptoms with
which I was troubled, would occupy more spueo
thiin would hqjnferostlng. Suffice it to say, that
frequently after eating, l would be taken with vio
lent and distressing sensations in the head nnd
back of my neck, extending half way down the
spine. At such times 1 was compelled to take my
bed. . These spells usually continued for several
hours, nnd were frequently so severe aa to render
life a burden. To obtain letter 1 had recourse
thebest iricdicnl aid the country afforded. Having
tried the most skillful physic Inns Rome, I applied
ot several of the most eminent professional men of
the United Suites. I wrote to. Prof. Dudley, of
Kentucky; lmd the celebrated Dr. Mott, of New
York, written to; liiid Ills prescription tried; np-
piled also to the much extolled Dr* Durham ; and
then successively to Dr. Dugas, of Augusta, Dr.
Banks, of Gainesville, Dr. Fort, of Mliledgevdle,
Dr. Catridgo, of Glmttooga county, nnd tho reput
ed Dr. M. 3. Thomson, of Macon. All having
failed to give relief, I finally, upon Dr. Jones, loca
ting in Rome, ventured on giving him a call. For
tho encouragement of others, I am happy to certify
tliut Dr. Jones has given mo tnoru relief than nil
the rest combined. I can now say that my health
is better than it lias been for several yerirs past. I
mu uble to attend to my plantation ulfairs, nml ride
to Rome, or liny where else my business requires my
porsouul attention (signed) JOEL MANN.

A common error exists in the minds of many
