“ It is seldom we permit ourselves to occu

when we see tho lifo of a fellow creature saved
by the use of any medicine whatever, we con
sider it os our right, if not our dutv, to give a
simple statement of facts that others may in
like manner, be benefitted. The case which
has induced us to pen this article wns that of
a young lady of our acquaintance, who by
frequent exposure to the night air, contracted
a Cold which settled on the Lungs, before its
ravages could be stayed; (This occurred two
yeais ago this winter.) Various remedies
were used, but with very little effect or benefit-
The Cough grew worse, with copious expopll
oration, and the sunken eye, ond pale, hollow
check, told plainly that pulmonary disease was
doing its worst on her delicate frame. The
family physician was (sonsalted, nnd although
he would not admit .talhe young lady that she
really had the Consumption, ytt he would give
no encouragement as to a cure. Auhjs crisis
her mother was persuaded to make uso of a
bottle of Dr. Rogers’ Compound Sy/ttp of Liv

was perfectly cured in less than three months
by this medicine alone, after even, hope wns
destroyed; It is useless to comment oil «uch a

where polished fiotion never can. Ifany doubt
