In the year of our Lord, 1847, In our ca
pacities of nalytical chemists, we discovered
that by uniting certain vegetable agents,
which bad linver before been used in mef 1

a marvellous quick power over pain, that
the moment it was applied to the parts af
fected with pain, all uneasiness ceased- The
moo’ torturing ]iains were relieved in an in

In 1849, we introduced this remedy to the
world under tbe name of.

RADWAY’S REGULATORS.
the third great medical discovery of

One Regulator is sufficient to regulate tbe

Two will insure a pleasant discharge from
the bowels at a regular period of time every
day.
Four to six will purge thoroughly all cor
rupt aad acrimonious, humors Irom the a>i-
meotary canal.
RADWAY’S REGULATORS.
Radwai’* Regulators are most carefully
prepared from extracts and gums of trees,
plants, roots, uud herbs There are no pills
in use that will act upon the Liver. Pancreas.
Bowels the Salivary Glands and nerves, so
pleasantly and so effectually as the R. R.
Regulators No pills can be taken for any
length of time with the same safety to the
constitution : for instead of debilitating the
system by powerful and drastic purging, they
act pleasantly upon tlie bowels and impart
strength to every nerve aud tissue of the
body.
REGULATORS YS. PILLS.
We are continually asked, what is the dif
ference between Radway’s Regulators and
ordinary pills)
We answer that pills, as they are ordinari
ly prepared and sold by different manufac
turers, are generally of two kinds—those
which operate on tho bowels merely called
purgative pills, and these which excite the
secretion ofthe liver and nre -called mercu
rial or liver pills, R id way’s Regulators re.-
semble pills merely in »tiape t but differ in
every other characteristic.
They act not only on the bowels, but on
tho liver.'skin, pancreas, and kidneys regu
lating eaph organ to a h;olthy action. They
arc not drastic, an I never give pain ns most
puigative pills do; they stimulate the liver
without endangering the pat font wl h saliva,
tion, as mercurial pills do': containing no
minerals in th dr composition, they are harm
less when used fora lengtn of time.' They
are tasteless, enveloped fo an elegant coating
of gum. 1 to 8 regulators, 8 to 6 purge—
