THE Committer appointed to
examine the City Mirihal's Accounts, report,
that they have carefully examined the fame
irem the 21 it of July, 1306, up to the 22d of
August, 1807—they find by the Treafnrcr’s
receipts he u as paid over to him 257 dollars}
SI I*4 cents, and he ha3 received 275 dollars
46 8-4 cents, leaving a balance due the city of
18 dollars 15 I*2 cents. By the report of a
former committee, on the settlement cf his ac
counts up to July the 2lft, 1806, it appears
that there was a balance then due the City Mur
fnal of 31 dollars 59 I*2 cents, after deducting
the former sum, will leave a balance flue the
City Merlhal of 13 dollars 44 cents. We also
report, he has the Treasurer’s receipt for 45
dollars 16 cents, and an account for a law suit
instituted by order of Council for 5 dollars 50
cent:, which makes the balance of 43 dollars 63
cents he was to refund as goaler pro. tem.
