The Northampton Farmer, a republican

W ll and particular gratification, that the
Editor of the Aurora in conference of
the prefiing foliciiatiors from different
parts of the union, intends to pubhili the
Politics for Farmers and Mechanics, in the
pamphlet iorm. When this is done, every
farmer will be enabled (and no one ought
to neglctt ti) to procuie a copy of this va-,
jluabie and highly interesting woik.”

rican would now prefumc to deny
that this man is an agent of the tyrant of
France, ought to be held up as an objeft cf
general lulpicion.—The linking coinci
dence between this outrageous attack upon
the very viiala ol our country, end the
poifonou* doftrines cf the Aurora in pre
paring the preponderating iritereft, (the 3-
griculturaliffj) of the United States, for
their servile reception, is too obvious to
elcape the mail unthinking. It cannot
now be denied that there was a preconcert
ed plan between Duane and his Gaiic mas
ten to prepare the public mind of this
country io swallow without a mtirtner, this
deleterous pill ; this ciireci stab at our high
eM iutereft. If Congress does not show a
becoming spirit on this occafioD, then in
deed have the execrable agents of Napoleon
but too fatally fucc:eded, in fcaltering the |
fire brands of dtffention and luring us into
their fell insres. It would feern that the
Aurora foiefaw, or rather was foretold of
ihcfe present alarsoing measures of the
Empetor of France jgainft this country ;
a puto keep down our spirit, and lay pros- !
tt.te, our energies, he has for fome time’
psll been sedulously and wickedly employ- 1
and in making tie farmers feel hoiliiity to
their brethren of the cities ; striving to
persuade them that their iiucretls were dis
tinft from these of the merchants; as if
what deeply aifefed the one, did not di
refilly injury the other.”

Chapmen who travel with books, or
