the Americans had but one killed, and

al wounded. The next day the Fal
con warped off with the loss of half

At Charleston, 14th inst. sloop Rising-
Sun, Cooley, 12 hours.
Arrived below in distress, sloop Delight,
Cooper. The 1); left this port on the 1st
inst. for Charleston, having on board up
wards of 30 souls, and when within a few
hours run of her destined port, she met
with a severe gale of wind in which she
wn»’completely dismasted, and after drift
ing with 'he current for two days, fell in,
off the -Frying Pan Shoals, with the ship
Ceres, Captain Owens, from Philadelphia,
bound to this port, who kindly took the
Delight in tow, and brought her into Cock-
spur Roads, on Tuesday evening.
The schr Richmond, Hand, from Rich
mond bound to Charleston and this port,
put, into Norfolk for passengers, on the
5th inst.
'The irigTrent, capt Barstow.-arrived at
Mobile on the 21st vdt. in 17 days from
New-York Oft*Cuba, she was attacked by
a piratical schooner ; but being armed, re
turned the fire of the pirate, and made her
escape.
