For foul ulcers, a wino glass of Chloride
must bo mixed with us much as live times
that quantity of pure water, and pledgets of
lint must bo dipped into this wash and then
laid over the ulcers. This dressing to bo re
newed twice tt duy. If the sore becomes red
and angry Die wash of live parts water must
he still further diluted ; if, on the contrary,
the sore does not change its appearance, it
must be dressed once or twice with Chloride
and water, half and liulf, so us to dispose to a
slight inflammation,which is indispensable to
convert fetid and running ulcers into simple
sores. TJms healing then progresses rapidly.
The moment the Chloride is applied upon un
ulcer the Aiiaagrccable smell is destroyed.
